Said. Regarding the Mind and Space sections of the Great Perfection Ati Yoga, Bairo received them from Shri Singha, while the Instruction section was received from Vimala by the Lord and Nyang, and so on. Generally, it is said that "the teachings of the lineage descended six times." To summarize, it initially descended upon Gnya', then upon Nub, and finally upon Zur, so that the entire Tibetan region was filled with masters holding the power of vidyā-mantras. At that time, Guru Rinpoche and Nubchen, among others, foresaw the particular needs of future times and filled all the mountains, rocks, and glaciers with profound treasures. Later, many treasure revealers, emanated by aspiration, unearthed these treasures. Among them are the three forms of the Eight Herukas of the Kagyé, the three periods of the Kadü (Collection of Precepts), the Peaceful and Wrathful Guru practices, the cycles of the Great Perfection's Heart Drop of Instructions, the Peaceful and Wrathful Great Compassion practices, and Manjushri Life-Mastery, etc. Previously, the Lord Nyang's father and sons, and later the Northern and Southern schools alone were most famous. Although there are countless others, most seem to have become objects of doubt. I think some should be acknowledged as authentic. During the Later Propagation period, it seems that no original teaching traditions arose, apart from the empowerments and subsequent permissions of action and performance tantras, and the mere reading of texts. Regarding the Yoga Tantras, initially, Lotsawa Rinchen Zangpo consulted many Indian and Kashmiri panditas. He translated previously untranslated tantras and commentaries, revised those that had been translated, and established a great tradition of teaching, listening, meditation, and practice, which was made to flourish and spread by his four main heart-sons, such as Ngok Lekshe. Later, the translator of Zangkar, Phakpa Sherab, also widely received teachings on yoga, and translated the Spang Commentary. The four sons of Zangkar, and others such as Tsa Kya Shakya Bum, Nurnyi Ozer Zimpa Lochen, along with their lineage holders, propagated these teachings. Later, Buton Rinpoche heard the complete empowerment tantra commentary and extensively taught and wrote, but nowadays only the reading transmission of the tantras and a few empowerments such as the Three Deities of Auspiciousness remain.

Everything was heard completely. Later, although there were many translators who heard the Guhyasamāja, the Ngö and Mar traditions were the main ones. Ngö Khukpa Lhatsé heard the empowerments, tantras, and oral instructions of the Guhyasamāja from Dīpaṃkara, Devākacandra, and seventy other paṇḍitas, as well as two ḍākinī gurus. Many disciples, including Rawa Sengé Gyaltsen and the six supreme ones, appeared and gradually spread the teachings. Lhotrak Marpa heard the complete empowerments of the Guhyasamāja from Nāropa, Yeshé Nyingpo, and others. In Tibet, Tsurton Wangngé, one of the four great pillars, received the transmission. He passed it on to Khampa Ronyam Dorjé and others. Furthermore, Jowo (Atiśa) explained it to Rongpa Chaksorwa, which became the Rong tradition. Chak Chöjé Pal heard it from Paṇḍita Parendra and explained it to Uyuk Kungrawa Lama Pal and others, which became the Chak tradition. Kashmiri paṇḍitas gave it to Sakya Paṇḍita and Dpal Lo, which became the Dpal tradition. However, the Ngö tradition was mainly followed. The Yeshé Zhap tradition: Initially, Lochen Rinchen Zangpo and Smṛtijñāna spread it, so it became known as the Lochen tradition and the Kham tradition. Later, Paṇḍita Puṇyaśrī transmitted it to Nyen Lo, which became the Sakya tradition. Paṇḍita Puṇyaśrī and others, Rawa Lo heard, which became the Rawa tradition. Nyö Jungpo relied on Bali Ārla, which became the Nyö tradition, and so on. Regarding the Father Tantra Yamāntaka cycle: In the later dissemination, initially, Jok Lotsāwa Zhang Yeshé Rab Lama spread the empowerments and explanations of the three deities of enemy face, terror, and fear. Rongzom Chözang requested it from Upaśrī Mitra and translated the tantras of Black Yamāntaka and others. Dpal Chözang requested the Red Yamāntaka cycle from Nikkalaṅka and spread it. Similarly, Dānaśīla transmitted it to Sakya Paṇḍita, Chak Lotsāwa, and Darpaṇ, and Glowo Lotsāwa also heard it, so the Red Yamāntaka cycle emerged from these four. Rawa Lotsāwa Dorjé Drak relied on the Nepalese Paro Chakdrum and Métsa Lingpa and obtained the Yamāntaka cycle, especially hearing the three deities of enemy face, terror, and fear from the Nepalese Tukjé Chenpo and spreading it, which became the Rawa tradition. Lama Kyö Öjung heard the Yamāntaka cycle from Dönyö Dorjé and spread it, which became the Kyö tradition. Zhang Jokdru Lotsā heard the two deities of Black Yamāntaka from Devākacandra and spread it, which became the Zhang tradition. Nyö Lo heard the three cycles of Black Deity from Balam Acarla and others and spread it, which became the Nyö tradition. In short, the four, including Dpal Lo, are Red Yamāntaka, and the four, Rawa, Kyö, Zhang, and Nyö, are Black Yamāntaka.
