Like this, please learn to use the elegant words of entreaty like colorful clouds, dance with beautiful language like a warbling bird, and with amazing offerings, quickly go to the garden of your lotus feet. If offering to a Sangha with a pure tradition of the three turnings of the Dharma Wheel, then say: In the ocean where countless rivers of learning, contemplation, and meditation converge, with the colors of the wisdom-liberation new moon, the glorious spiritual friend Mallika, there frolics the dance of immeasurable wisdom. With unwavering faith in the Three Jewels, in the guise of a devout subject who is satisfied with everything, I offer this chain of petitions measured by footsteps, the new flower of poetry, Damani. Whenever, may the teachings and teacher of that being who possesses the ten powers, become the supreme two treasuries, primarily undertaking the responsibility of the three turnings of the Dharma Wheel, possessing unwavering diligence. May the stable and wise Sangha, with their hearts pure like moonlight, in that ocean surging with the waters of the ten practices of Dharma, utter the clear call of the heart. ཨཱ (Tibetan, Devanagari Sanskrit, Romanized Sanskrit, Literal Chinese meaning) Here, even the bees who chase after the winds of distraction, living on ignorance, may they be transformed into armor protecting from harm by the youthful radiance of the compassion of the Three Jewels. May the supreme abode of countless scholars and accomplished ones in the future, the splendor of the Sangha undiminished, with the sound of scripture and realization resounding to the top of the world, bestow a feast of joy for gods and humans alike. The words of entreaty, like a cuckoo, with the lotus petals of offering swaying, while uttering beautiful songs, are offered from the center of the medicinal garden filled with faith, samadhi, and wisdom. Like this, apply it according to different occasions. Thus, a rough outline of how to present letters to various objects belonging to the sacred land, whether superior, middling, or inferior, and to special and general objects, has been shown. Now, I will write a little about the meaning derived from these occasions. When receiving a reply letter, such as the return of the last command, use honorifics at the beginning and humble words at the end as usual. Before mentioning one's own situation, especially praise the noble reply letter that arises from churning the ocean of compassion, like the spring sunshine of daytime.
