In order to cut off the obstructing evil spirits that prevent you from receiving the empowerment, visualize the sound of Hūṃ (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Literal Chinese Meaning: Hūṃ) Phaṭ (Tibetan: ཕཊ, Sanskrit Devanagari: फट, Sanskrit Romanization: phaṭ, Literal Chinese Meaning: Phaṭ) resounding like dense clouds. In front of them, you and all limitless sentient beings abide, and with the intention to perform the seven-branch offering, including confessing the sins accumulated since beginningless time, please recite this three times. May the Three Jewels and others accomplish this. After saying that, please recite the seven-branch offering mentioned here again three times. Great Guru Orgyen Padma! Until the supreme great enlightenment, I dedicate. Having purified the mind-stream in this way, then for the empowerment, please all the masters and disciples commonly practice the mandala and perform this clear visualization and recitation. From "In an instant, entering the great vajra," to "Abiding as if surrounded by garlands of flowers," thus clearly visualize the mandala. In order to expel the conceptual thoughts of the three poisons, and in order to hold the combined winds, please recite this. Exhale impure air three times, etc., and hold the combination. Then, please visualize in this way. Exhaling air from the right nostril, visualize that the afflictive emotion of hatred, all thoughts of anger, emerge as blue smoke, and then exhale air from the right nostril once. After doing this, all the masters and disciples exhale once. Again, exhaling air from the left nostril, visualize that all the afflictive emotions of desire, all thoughts of attachment, emerge as red smoke. Please exhale air from the left nostril once. Everyone exhales together. Again, exhaling air from the center, visualize that all the afflictive emotions of ignorance, all thoughts of delusion, emerge as black smoke. Please try to exhale once from the center. After doing this, everyone exhales together. Then, contract the lower wind, press down the upper wind, and please hold the vase breath in the heart. After doing this, everyone holds the combined breath. Then, visualize that the consciousness at your heart, on the pistil of an eight-petaled lotus flower, the letter Ā (Tibetan: ཨཱ, Sanskrit Devanagari: आ, Sanskrit Romanization: ā, Literal Chinese Meaning: Ā) radiates light in the ten directions, and in the space in front, the Great Guru Orgyen Padma of the seven lineages.

Bhagavan Protector, etc. Grant us accomplishments. After praying in this way, nectar descends from the guru's vase into the vase of Amitayus. That nectar descends from the fontanelle of your heads and dissolves into your hearts, and you attain the accomplishment of immortal life. Meditate that the wisdom beings invited into the sky dissolve without duality into the mandala of samaya, and repeat after this. The deities of each of the samaya beings, etc., become the masters. Thus, in the same way that the samaya and wisdom are inseparable, the light from the Āṇ (Tibetan, Devanagari, Romanized Sanskrit, Literal Meaning: Āṇ, None) syllable in the heart of the main deity, who resides as the lord of the family, the Maha Guru, on the crown of the main deity, arises as the wheel of the essence mantra, proclaiming its own sound. From this, the compassion and blessings of all the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas of the three times, and the life, merit, glory, and wealth of all sentient beings of the three realms are gathered and dissolved into oneself, and you attain the accomplishment of immortal life.
