Regarding the practice: Bless the offerings, purify the vase. Visualize the longevity vase as being without inherent existence, becoming emptiness. From within emptiness, from the syllable Hūṃ arises a precious vase, red in color, with a large belly, a long neck, and an everted mouth. Its neck is adorned with divine silk cloths, and its opening is ornamented with a wish-fulfilling tree. Clear and unobstructed, this is the form of the outer vase. Inside is a square palace with four doors and four stairways, possessing all characteristics. In the center of that, upon a precious throne supported by lions, and so forth, up to "adorned at the crown with Amitābha," it is like the self-generation. Substitute "for me to receive empowerment" with "for this to receive empowerment." Visualize the empowerment deities dissolving into the deities of the vase. Perform the appropriate offering and praise, either elaborate or concise. Regarding the recitation: Inside the vase held by the front-generated deity Amitāyus, upon a lunar disc, is a red Hrīḥ (藏文,梵文天城体:ह्रीः,梵文罗马拟音:hrīḥ,汉语字面意思:Syllable Hrih), surrounded by a garland of mantras, from which rays of light emanate. The light radiates, drawing back all the life force and merit of the vajra disciples that has been stolen, pilfered, or diminished by the Lord of Death, Yama, demons, and other non-human beings, into the form of nectar filling the vase, skull-cup, and alms bowl, dissolving into the garland of mantras. Again, light radiates, drawing back all the essence of the outer world's great elements of earth, water, fire, wind, and space, into the form of light and nectar, appearing as green, blue, red, white, and yellow, dissolving into the garland of mantras. Again, light radiates, drawing back all the life force and merit of the inner sentient beings, the splendor, radiance, and majesty of the three realms, all the wealth and prosperity of the world realms, into the form of auspicious substances, symbols, and the seven precious jewels, dissolving into the garland of mantras. Again, light radiates, inviting all the blessings of body, speech, and mind from the Buddhas of the ten directions, together with their sons and disciples, appearing as deities, mantras, and hand implements, dissolving into the garland of mantras. From that, an immeasurable stream of nectar descends, filling the vase with the immortal nectar of life, and from it, a stream of nectar flows. It enters through the crown of the vajra disciples, filling their entire body. It draws back life force and merit, restores what has diminished, and increases what remains.

May (beings) be happy and steadfast. May all diseases, evil spirits, sins, defilements, broken vows, faults, downfalls, and the fear of untimely death, together with their imprints, be purified. May all the attainments of immortal life and wisdom be obtained. Visualize merging into the life-substances in front, transforming them into the essence of immortal life. Recite and contemplate in this way, reciting the above three mantras as much as possible, and then recite the Hundred Syllable Mantra. Cleanse the torma and purify it. From emptiness, from Oṃ (藏文:ཨོཾ,梵文天城体:ओ,梵文罗马拟音:oṃ,汉语字面意思:嗡) arises a precious vessel, vast and expansive, within which the torma transforms into a great ocean of flawless nectar. Bless it by reciting three times Oṃ (藏文:ཨོཾ,梵文天城体:ओ,梵文罗马拟音:oṃ,汉语字面意思:嗡) Āḥ (藏文:ཨཱཿ,梵文天城体:आ,梵文罗马拟音:āḥ,汉语字面意思:啊) Hūṃ (藏文:ཧཱུྃ,梵文天城体:हु,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,汉语字面意思:吽). The retinue of the Lord Amitāyus, inseparable from the Guru, draws the essence of the torma with a single-pointed red vajra born from the syllable Hūṃ (藏文:ཧཱུྃ,梵文天城体:हु,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,汉语字面意思:吽) on their tongues, using bristles of light, please partake. Recite: Oṃ (藏文:ཨོཾ,梵文天城体:ओ,梵文罗马拟音:oṃ,汉语字面意思:嗡) Guru Aparimita Āyurjñāna Saparivāra Idaṃ Balimta Kha Kha Khāhi Khāhi (藏文:ཨོཾ་གུ་རུ་ཨ་པ་རི་མི་ཏ་ཨཱ་ཡུཛྙཱ་ན་ས་པ་རི་ཝཱ་ར་ཨི་དཾ་བ་ལིཾ་ཏ་ཁ་ཁ་ཁཱ་ཧི་ཁཱ་ཧི།), and offer it. Perform the offering and praise as before. Request the Bhagavan, the Lord Amitāyus, and his retinue, to grant me and the vajra disciples all the attainments of immortal life. Pray in this way for your wishes. To stimulate the activity of summoning life, again from the hearts of myself and those in front, rays of light and hosts of swift goddesses emanate like particles of sunlight, summoning the essence of the life and merit of the vajra disciples that has been stolen, plundered, diminished, and lost, as well as the life and merit of all sentient beings, all the prosperity of the three realms, and all the blessings of the body, speech, and mind of the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas. They merge into the life-vase in the hand of the visualized deity in front, filling the vase with nectar. From there, a stream of nectar descends, restoring the broken, scattered, and diminished life of the vajra disciples, and in short, all the life that has declined through the five elements, and they attain the deathless life-awareness holder. From "Deathless Protector, God of Life" to "Life nourishment, life summoning, grant the real accomplishment of life," recite as it is. In the center of the white light of the life-support, the consciousness of the vajra disciple transforms into the letter "Shrī" (藏文:སྦྲི,usually སྲི,here suspected to be a typo), in the form of the union of the sun and moon in a gau box, from "Oṃ (藏文:ཨོཾ,梵文天城体:ओ,梵文罗马拟音:oṃ,汉语字面意思:嗡) Vajra Āyuṣe Svāhā (藏文:ཨོཾ་བཛྲ་ཨཱ་ཡུ་ཥེ་སྭཱ་ཧཱ།)" recite as before. Again, from my own heart
