Furthermore, regarding the second, because it is the seed of all, it is the cause; because it comes in the manner of arising from it, it is the origin; it increases in the manner of connection; in the sense of manifest accomplishment, it is the condition. Regarding the third, because the aggregates disintegrate, it is cessation; because the three poisons are pacified, it is peace; because there is no harm, it is excellence; because it transcends all faults, it is liberation. Regarding the fourth, because it is the path to be traversed, it is the path; because it itself is reasonable and complete, it is reason; in order to truly accomplish, it is accomplishment; because it truly transcends, it is liberation. Therefore, one should meditate on these sixteen aspects. And, (the scriptures) show that the two kinds of ignorance, afflicted and non-afflicted, are to be abandoned. The *Abhidharmakośa* says: "The truths are taught as four, namely suffering, its origin, cessation, and the path. So, how are they realized in order?" and so on, as taught in the scriptures. The third is: one should take any of the seven classes of individual liberation vows with a mind of peace and happiness, abandon all collections of misdeeds, and properly maintain the corresponding precepts, thereby making samadhi workable. This is also the principle of "abiding in discipline, possessing hearing and thought, one should diligently practice meditation." The fourth is: the Śrāvakayāna and Pratyekabuddhayāna practitioners believe in the five paths, such as the path of accumulation, and divide the four fruits of stream-enterer, once-returner, non-returner, and arhat into two, entering and abiding, thus considering them to be four pairs or eight individuals. They realize the absence of self of persons by meditating on the four truths divided into sixteen aspects, and attain the arhat fruit by relying on vajra-like samadhi on the path of meditation, completely destroying afflictions along with their imprints. Secondly, regarding the vehicle of the Pratyekabuddha, there are also four points. First, regarding the view: although the Śrāvakayāna acknowledges the realization of the absence of self of persons, they consider the object of grasping, that is, indivisible particles, to be truly existent. This path realizes that external objects are also unreal. Therefore, compared to the previous view, this path is superior in realizing the absence of self, realizing half of the absence of self. However, since they do not realize that the nature of the grasping mind is also unreal, they are considered to have realized one and a half of the absence of self. The *Ratnagotravibhāga* says: Form

I, for the sake of abandoning the discrimination of meaning, and because of not abandoning attachment, relying on the path like a rhinoceros horn, one should know that it has been truly gathered. Thus it is said. The practice of the path is to add the profound path of dependent origination on top of the sixteen aspects of the four truths and practice it. That is to say, the root of the wheel of samsara, which wanders continuously, arises only from the cause of not knowing oneself. Relying on this, actions, consciousness, name and form, the six sense bases, contact, feeling, craving, grasping, existence, birth, old age, and death all arise in sequence, the latter relying on the former, and existing in continuous connection with each other is called the arising of dependent origination. And the root of that, ignorance, is destroyed by realizing the selflessness of the person, and the latter, which are connected in sequence, also cease, which is called the noble truth of reversal. Among them, there are also the two, inner and outer, dependent origination. These practices are similar to those of the Shravakas, guarding the pure discipline of the superior precepts, and seeking the attainment of enlightenment alone. That is, abiding alone like a rhinoceros horn, and like a parrot, there are two kinds of behavior when in a group. As for the fruit, the former requires a hundred great kalpas, and the latter, if fast, can attain the Pratyekabuddha Arhat in three lifetimes. As the Treasury of Knowledge says: 'The fast one at the end of three existences, the rhinoceros horn is the cause of a hundred kalpas.' Thus it is said. He also cultivates from the heat of the path of joining to the path of no more learning on one seat, and when he attains his own fruit, he only teaches the Dharma with the appearance of his body, and does not do other beneficial activities. Thus, both of them cultivate relying on the three pitakas of the Hinayana, and there is only a difference in the sharpness and dullness of the faculties. The Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas do not accept the Mahayana as the words of the Buddha, and they do not accept the Sambhogakaya's abode, such as the Dense Arrayed Pure Land, other than the Saha world, and the support and the supported. Shakyamuni's body is the real Buddha, his mind is the Dharmakaya, and that ordinary beings, who are bound by their own continuum, accumulate merit and attain enlightenment in this world, and there is nothing else, etc. There are many views, and the teachings that explain these views.
