It is the basis of the accompanying mental factors. As it is said: Feeling, consciousness, mind, desire, touch, wisdom, memory, attention, conviction, and concentration, all minds. Thus, there are ten mental factors. Faith and non-carelessness are extremely purified, equanimity, knowing shame, knowing embarrassment, diligence constantly arise in virtue. Thus, there are ten virtuous mental factors. Ignorance, carelessness, laziness, disbelief, drowsiness, and agitation constantly arise in those with afflictions. Thus, there are six afflicted mental factors. For the non-virtuous, there is shamelessness and, no embarrassment. Thus, there are two non-virtuous mental factors. Anger, resentment, deceit, jealousy, harm, stinginess, trickery, pride, and injury are the minor afflictive mental factors. Thus, there are ten minor afflictive mental factors, totaling thirty-eight. On top of that, a friend says: Investigation and analysis, regret, sleep, anger, desire, etc., pride, doubt are called, eight are said to be indefinite. Thus, the forty-six indefinite ones are accepted by the Treasury of Knowledge and its commentaries. Others add to that: non-ignorance, right view, non-knowing, distraction, forgetfulness, these five. However, it is only a difference of classification and summarization. Obtaining and not obtaining, equal share, there is no consciousness. No thought and cessation, the two samadhis, life and four characteristics, birth, old age, sickness, and death. Name, sentence, and letter, fourteen kinds. It is said that there are four non-associated formations. The three mentioned above, the desire realm without outflows, the form realm, and the formless realm, are the basis of the unconditioned, which are five. They each believe that they are substantially real, and they also believe that there is a part of their own true existence. And they believe that coarse, constant things are without self-nature. Because the objects and sense consciousness are truly existent, consciousness arises. And they believe that forms and so on are directly seen by the eyes. These are following the Great Commentary of the Vaibhashikas. There are also slight differences of good and bad within them. In this way, in order to gradually guide the outsiders who hold to the view of the aggregates, showing the objects and sense consciousness as truly existent is an extremely coarse tenet. The Kashmir Vaibhashikas and others believe that conditioned phenomena are momentary and impermanent, and they also believe that the self of the person is

I don't want just mere words, but actual substances, so I think the latter is better than the former. Furthermore, this school's view on the two truths is: The Abhidharmakosha says, "Whatever can be broken and measured by wisdom, and if eliminated, wisdom does not enter, like water in a vase, is conventionally existent, but the ultimate truth is different." This means that substances with the characteristic of being able to be broken, such as vases, and the qualities of limbs such as form, if separated one by one by the wisdom of knowledge, then wisdom does not enter into them, like water in a vase. Although both are acknowledged as temporary names, they are considered true because they exist, and this is the conventional truth. What cannot be broken, separated into limbs, destroyed, or eliminated, like the finest particles, indivisible consciousness, and space, etc., which can arise independently, is considered to abide in the nature of the ultimate truth. Secondly, one should not primarily rely on treatises, because they can be mistaken, and it may lessen respect for the speaker, the Buddha, and the treatises themselves rely on the sutras. All unconditioned dharmas are not substances because they are not produced by conditions. People like Mila prevented the previous wrong views and followed their own Hinayana sutras. This mostly agrees with the Vaibhashika school's view that substances exist. However, although they consider form, mind, and mental factors to be substances, they do not consider non-associated formations and the basis of the unconditioned to be substances. Furthermore, the coarse form continuum is also, the consciousness continuum is unreal. Non-rational form and the three times are considered to be merely imputed. The eye does not see form, etc., and although eye consciousness sees form, the experience of the appearance of the form's image in eye consciousness itself is called seeing, and it is considered that it is not that one does not actually see, etc., and this is how they are distinguished. Secondly, like this, the path meditation of both views is the four truths divided into sixteen aspects. That is, the four truths are: suffering, origin, cessation, and path. Among them, the former is divided into: all conditioned phenomena are impermanent, all contaminated phenomena are suffering, all phenomena are empty, and nirvana is peace.
