We consider that in the realm of Dharmata Samantabhadra, it is merely an adornment of self-appearance, without any acceptance or rejection. Since the producer and the produced are not established, it is not considered to appear as the play of skill as before, but the self-liberation that transcends the interdependence of existence and non-existence is established as a great expedient. If classified, it is infinite, but if summarized, it includes the three: accomplished liberation, abiding liberation, and gazing liberation. The third is the profound instruction division, which is different from the previous two. That is, although the Mind Division cultivates the profound aspect to a greater extent, it is easy to fall into the extreme of conceptual mind because it does not realize the skill of clarity as Dharmata. Although the Space Division cultivates the equal parts of profundity and clarity, it is easy to fall into the error of conceptual thought because of the mind that grasps Dharmata. Therefore, here, the essence of the inexpressible original purity is established as the great state beyond mind, so the activity of conceptual thought is not lost. The manifestation of the spontaneously accomplished skill of self-nature is gathered into the sphere of Dharmata, which is free from elaboration, so it is distinguished by its meaning. Because the wisdom being of primordial liberation realizes that it is beyond the bondage and liberation of the seer and the seen, there is no need for fabricated speculation, but it directly reaches the point. Otherwise, with various attachments that boast of being able to see, the root of existence is regenerated again by the power of returning from exhaustion and non-arising. That is, all the eight vehicles and their views are placed in the philosophical schools of the mind. As it is said: The six vehicles that have attained certainty are shown to be the wrong paths of Dzogchen. The second is that the special instruction division is also divided into four: outer, inner, secret, and very secret. Here, the essence of the fruit is taken as the very secret, unsurpassed empowerment. It is divided into two: the first is the method of establishing the original purity of the original state, which is determined by Trekchö. In this way, the Dharmata experienced by the wisdom of individual self-awareness is the uncontaminated wisdom that transcends the five aggregates and eight consciousnesses of contaminated existence. As it is said in the "Lion's Roar Perfection": Mind and wisdom are not real habits. Although wisdom is free from all habits, the mind accumulates various habits. If mind and wisdom are not distinguished, since the root of the appearing object cannot be cut off, even the pure Dharmata that is free from conditions is difficult to realize. And so on.

As taught through the Dharma, distinguishing and instructing on the difference between mind and awareness is the essential instruction of this path, an uncommon teaching. Awareness is like water free from impurities, while mind is like a bubble that suddenly arises from its force. Why? Because awareness is without inherent existence, boundless like the center of the sky, and free from bias. The other, mind, has the aspect of having an object of focus and is the basis for the arising of various feelings, hence the difference is very great. Therefore, directly and immediately recognizing self-arisen wisdom is to abide in the state of the five great liberations. As the "String of Pearls" says: "Unobstructed awareness, without error, has no turning back. Primordially liberated, it is utterly transcendent. Self-liberated, circumstances and conditions are exhausted. Liberated upon seeing, appearances are purified. Liberated at the limit, the four extremes cease. Liberated as one, the many are empty." Thus it is. Thus, practicing the meaning of direct, immediate self-arisenness through the four ways of settling is especially excellent because the awareness of emptiness and original purity exhausts the phenomena of grasping, and therefore it is through the door of non-meditation. Secondly, the path of Tögal, the wondrous secret that liberates all phenomena, internal and external, of the three realms into the expanse of the great, luminous bindu. Practicing by dividing the three essentials of placement, space, and appearance into three each is to gradually become familiar with the Vajra Chain, thereby perfecting the four visions, seeing the nature of the three kayas, and transcending effort. As the "Self-Arisen" says: "Dharmata is directly perceived, through appearance, transcending the limits of mental grasping. Through the increase of experiential appearances, confused appearances vanish, and the wisdom of the bardo manifests. Through the appearance of awareness reaching its measure, the path of conceptualizing the three kayas is surpassed. Through the appearance of the exhaustion of dharmata, the continuity of samsara in the three realms is cut off." Thus it is. Similarly, following this are the instructions on the four supports. Concluding with establishing the foundation with the three immovables, measuring the standard with the three abidings, fixing it with the three attainments, and showing the measure of liberation with the four confidences, and so forth. These are the supremely profound essence, the luminous jewel.
