Generosity is making offerings that please with desirable qualities represented by fragrant smoke. Although the purifying ritual does not possess afflictions to be purified for the bodies of the Buddhas, it is discipline for the sake of purifying all sins and transgressions of body, speech, and mind of oneself and others. Taking on hardships as a means to please the Three Jewels, and without anger even towards gods and demons who harm oneself, it is patience for the sake of giving a feast of generosity. Diligently striving to please the guests with the three aspects of preparation, main practice, and subsequent activity is diligence. In the realm of conventional arising and ceasing, single-pointedly offering endless inferior and superior offerings is meditative concentration. Understanding the three spheres as perfectly empty is wisdom. Therefore, even in the method of abandoning the basis, because attachment to desirable qualities and the like binds oneself, one should abandon craving. However, in order to perfect the accumulation of merit for the object of offering and generosity, there is never any prohibition against poverty. In the Vajrayana tradition of not abandoning the basis, there is no bondage if anything is skillfully used. Therefore, even when accomplishing and offering mandalas and wheels, offering the seven articles of enjoyment, the five desirable qualities, the sixteen Vajra goddesses, and so forth, as well as the tsok wheel, fire puja, torma, and so forth, and the inner food fire offering and the samadhi tsok wheel, and so forth, why should one prohibit it, since one possesses the skillful means to perfect in an instant the accumulations of countless eons accumulated by the perfections? Therefore, there is nothing to be prohibited in either the Sutra or Tantra, but it is shown to be worthy of acceptance. Second, regarding the actual classification of smoke offerings, first identify which tradition it belongs to, then analyze it, and finally explain the actual ritual. The first point is that, as mentioned earlier, in any internal or external philosophical system, except for not explicitly mentioning the name, there is a smoke offering ritual whose basis matches the name. In particular, if we consider the current situation, this smoke offering ritual is a common ritual of Sutra and Tantra, like the mandala and water offering, and so on. The second point is that some explain it as a Bon tradition, but even so, apart from scattered mixtures of building sacred houses and burial mounds, the main

Since there is no lineage from Naropa (ན་, Sanskrit: Na, Devanagari: ण, IAST: ṇa, literal meaning: Na), or placing the Bon tradition's mandala as the main part of the offering place, certainty is not seen. Although some proclaim that Padmasambhava composed the Sang offering ritual in Tibet, apart from special additions to the gods, demons, and local deities of Tibet, it cannot be admitted that its main part does not exist in India. It is also unreasonable for Padmasambhava to suddenly create something that never existed before. If it is said to be based on the Bon scriptures, then taking refuge in the Three Jewels, etc., is the same as before. Therefore, one cannot assert that one's own tradition does not exist specifically in the Indian scriptures and commentaries. In particular, as mentioned before, the vehicle of cause and, Camphor, agarwood, nutmeg, etc., A collection of fragrances arising from skillful blending, The three kinds of fragrance vajra made into butter, Offer to the mandala deities. As said, etc., from those collections shown in general and in particular, Padmasambhava and other wise and accomplished ones separated the Sang offering ritual separately, which can be considered a special way of accumulating merit. Secondly, for the pure and fragrant offering cloud, if we distinguish its opposite aspects, the color of the Sang smoke is good, clear and transparent, without obscuration, showing various forms; the words of the ritual and the changes in the sounds of blowing, plucking, and striking instruments; the fragrance of burning natural and synthetic incense; the taste of white sweet tea, wine, and delicious food, etc., which immeasurably increase the essence; the perfect fragrance gently touches the body, and merely touching it gives special pleasure to the touch, which is the five sense pleasures. Even these cannot fully express it, from the power of samadhi, at the tip of each smoke cloud, one also emanates inconceivable natures such as near-use sense pleasures, auspicious objects, symbols, the seven royal possessions, etc., to offer. Because of such actions, the four guests are pleased and give their respective corresponding accomplishments, and the two accumulations are easily gathered. For this, there are three rituals: preliminary, main, and concluding. The first is the preparation of the necessary items that appear in each scripture.
