Those [who hold this view] say that all sentient beings, the objects of thought, are naturally completely pure. Because it is inconceivable, it cannot be conceived by a mind grasping at duality. When one thinks of the inconceivable, that is, when one experiences suchness, at that time all phenomena will be realized as the nature of the inconceivable, because both the object of knowledge and the mind that knows are themselves inconceivable. Therefore, just as the nature of all sentient beings is naturally inconceivable, so too is the suchness of the mind of the yogi who possesses the object [of meditation] inconceivable. Just as the suchness of the mind of the yogi is inconceivable, so too is the secret of the mind of the Victorious Ones, the Tathagatas, the inconceivable suchness, inconceivable. In short, the nature of the ground, sentient beings; the experience of the path, the yogi; the secret of the mind of the result, the Tathagatas—all are inconceivable. Therefore, for the sake of those practitioners who are supremely devoted to the yoga of solitary mind, the Buddhas have thoroughly explained this profound meaning, which is free from thought or inconceivable, in the manner of experiencing it with their own self-aware wisdom. In ultimate truth, the inconceivable solitary mind, the vajra nature, cannot be reached by all conventional thoughts. Therefore, by becoming accustomed to the inconceivable completion-stage yoga in which all objects and subjects are of one taste, all dualistic thoughts dissolve into the expanse, so there is no imputation of various grasping and clinging thoughts. Moreover, since it has never existed from the beginning, freedom from imputation is itself non-existent. This is the meaning. The commentary says, "Its key instruction is this," and so on. The following explains how to meditate on solitary mind, which is easy to understand. Second, the explanation of the five lineages of the path in the Treasury Commentary, "The Chariot of Two Truths." Regarding the meaning of the dream path, etc., in general, among the five lineages of the path, some consider them to be the same as the five realms of beings, classifying the upper part of the asuras as the god realm and the lower part as the animal realm, leaving five remaining categories. Among these, the god realm is the path of distraction, the human realm is the path of discernment, and the animal realm is the path of igno

The path of the hungry ghosts, the path that blocks hungry ghosts, the path of hellish torment—these are the names given. There are many other explanations, such as attributing the path of karma for beings wandering in the six realms to those who engage in the five poisons, etc. But in this context, the path of dreams refers to experiencing various joys and sorrows in dreams by relying on the mind-body; the path of imprints refers to experiencing coarse joys and sorrows during the day by relying on the coarse physical body; the path of the exhaustion of general karma refers to experiencing the definite results; the path of uncertain wandering refers to the common illusion of the six realms; the path of uncertain causes and results refers to the illusion of the intermediate state's mind-body. Thus, it seems that some consider and explain that the causes and results of the six realms have been summarized. But one should search for the source in the sutras and tantras and examine it carefully. Third, in the tenth chapter of the "Treasury of Precious Qualities," it says, "If it is mantra vows, then samaya is mixed in; if it is samaya, then vows are not mixed in." Since the commentary does not explain the meaning of this statement, it is difficult to know what the real meaning is, but if understood directly, it is: all that must be done by examining what is allowed and forbidden is considered vows. Therefore, if it is the vows of mantra, then samaya is also mixed or included in it, because it is the part of abandonment distinguished by acceptance and rejection. If it is samaya, then vows are not included in it, because all the parts that should not be transgressed, such as making aspirations and upholding, are samaya, therefore, the part of acceptance is not included in it. This meaning is clear, and it can be understood by examining the general statements such as "samaya should not be transgressed." Another explanation is that samaya is included in vows, because samaya refers to all the subtle behaviors of mantra, for example, during a fire offering, the hand should not go beyond the knee, which is a part of the vows, and if considered from the perspective of a root downfall, it belongs to the root downfall of transgressing the words of the Sugata. Vows are not included in samaya, because the complete mantra vows are not included in the daily behaviors of mantra. For example, one "khal" of barley contains one "dong," but one "dong" of
