And, because there is no concealment. Like this, dwelling in solitude is very joyful for meditation. It is possible to obtain or completely protect it. Those who live in the city, because of the fault of distraction, their minds are destroyed and it is difficult to obtain tranquility. Like this and so on. Dwelling in solitude, with a contented mind, wearing very simple clothes. One will not become arrogant because of this, and will not be afraid, confused, or ignorant. Also, subduing pride, enduring insults, one's own body is able to endure hunger, the suffering of being bound by guests, is not present for the conduct of beggars. And, no matter what is eaten, whether one gets up from that seat or does not get up, it is not allowed to use the water from washing the bowl to eat again. After obtaining food separately, eating the last bite and not eating again, that is the end of the food. Like this, because of the fault of eating repeatedly, one will not abandon one's fixed seat. Diseases are reduced, harm is reduced, and the body becomes light. The rising of yoga will also become easier because of this. Like this, one will not be overwhelmed by the thick darkness of sleep, and the mind will not be dominated by a comfortable mattress. This can reduce attachment to the body, and from this, one can clearly enter meditation. And, later, not abandoning the vow of begging, therefore one will not be greedy, will be content, and will conform to the way of faith. And, relying only on the three robes, one can enter a state of contentment and lightness, for the many attachments and clinging, the rough clothes are abandoned. After being taken like a bird, one can go anywhere one likes. Being away from the permission to abandon, therefore the monk has no afflictions. And, the merit of complete abandonment is that the clothes made from collected wool, because they are not false, are content, and beautiful things are produced from greed, there is no affliction in seeking these things. And, because of being satisfied with laying it out as it is, guarding the precepts is very dignified. The newly ordained monk on the mattress, dwells in comfort and protects it. And, when laying a grass mat or sleeping on the ground, the comfort that arises from the foundation as it is, even on top of a jewel-shining immeasurable palace, a mind without contentment cannot have it. And, in the charnel ground, constantly with the fear of death, one becomes weary.

He does not change through carelessness, sees various impure signs, and his desire for sensual pleasures does not increase. Furthermore, in whatever good tree's shade, he possesses the wealth of a joyful mind with bedding, and travels unhindered in all directions, that is the path of perfect Dharma. There, the Dharma also increases, and it subdues the pride of the power of demons. Furthermore, he does not seek, protect, or sweep bedding, nor does he promise to practice without coverings, and because there is no commotion, it is extremely beautiful. And so on, extensively showing the virtues. Moreover, because the collection of virtues of those and others is completely possessed, it is called the virtue of practice, and because it purifies all faults, it is called the virtue of purification. Thus it is said. Furthermore, that which is called Samadhi is so called because it fixes the mind and mental factors on a single object in order to eliminate sinking, discouragement, distraction, and inequality; or it is called Samadhi because the mind and mental factors are truly gathered into a single object; or because it is not inverted, when one focuses and abides in this Samadhi, it is called Samadhi because it generates perfect wisdom and such and such visions. Thus it is said. Its types include the four Dhyanas, their three preparatory stages, the four formless absorptions, the six recollections, the four immeasurables, the recollection of breathing in and out, the ten perceptions, the ten kasinas, the eight stages of mastery, the eight liberations, overcoming, the absorption of non-perception, the three Samadhis of emptiness, signlessness, and wishlessness, and the Samadhi that possesses the five limbs and five consciousnesses, such as the absorption of perceiving accordance with accordance. Thus it is said. The holy one, through his own virtues, can be seen even from a high and distant place, like the beauty of a spotless ground, like the length of autumn. Thus it is said. This is of Dīpaṃkāra and Ratnabhadra.
