It is. The most excellent of all aspects, the wisdom mudra is thoroughly examined. Fourth, the unsurpassed cause, the one who actualizes perfect enlightenment, the great mudra is meditated upon in this way, there is nothing else superior to it. Thus and so forth it is taught, Furthermore, in a solitary secret place, which is the basis of a hundred qualities, either an empty house, or a garden, or a rock cave charnel ground, or a pleasant underground cave. In such a place, which has been purified without defilement, auspicious signs are displayed and held. Generating the happiness of the place, one should meditate there, abandoning the bustle of the precious Vajradhara. It says: In samsara, which is completely bound, the path taught by the three realms, all of that becomes without substance, it is the supreme manifestation of wisdom. It says: Liberated from existence and non-existence, the nature without elaboration, even the Buddhas do not realize it, what need is there to speak of other beings. It says: Meditation, what has been meditated, and what is to be meditated, in ultimate truth, do not exist. That very one, the supreme and unique, is called a Bodhisattva. It says: The piles of firewood of views, having been burned by the fire of emptiness, if one abides here in equanimity, then even the fire of suchness will be extinguished. It says: In the fifth chapter, the manifestation of the great mudra, the Vajradhara who meditates, possessing intelligence that ascertains the correct order of the system. One who has a mind of desire, one who has a mind of great joy in goodness, accomplishes all the meanings of the siddhis. Accomplishing in this very life of a human, abiding in the glorious secret accomplishment. Because of possessing excellent methods, one goes to the supreme state that is beyond words. Thus and so forth it is said, briefly showing the ritual of empowerment. In the sixth chapter, teaching secret conduct, without characteristics and without appearance, possessing skillful means in one's own body, Vajrasattva, the supreme of bliss, should be diligently meditated upon. It says: Even an object as small as a sesame seed should not be grasped. From grasping, suffering arises, from suffering, the mind revolves. From revolving, the mind becomes depressed, from being depressed, the siddhi is lost. From the loss of siddhi, there is samsara, from samsara, one creates hell. In hell, due to afflictions and suffering, countless eons

will cause harm. Thus it is said. For those who have entered the three vehicles, prostrations and the like should not be done. If one does not regard the Buddha as sacred, what need is there to mention other yogis? Thus it is said. If you want to grasp your own mind that wanders in all ten directions, then, your own mind that is the cause of attaining Buddhahood, then you should practice the supreme and correct union. Thus it is said. Chapter Seven, from the Asceticism of Knowledge: Possessing great magical powers of desire, completely abandoning water and dust, fully displaying various forms, one should attend to a celestial maiden. Thus it is said. If one lacks the ability to attract a celestial maiden, then desire itself will cause harm, therefore one should attend to a human daughter. Thus it is said. Chapter Eight, from the Asceticism of the Assembly: Even after shaving the hair of the head, one should keep one thick braid, and one should hold one topknot. Thus it is said. As long as the yogi does not abandon the Bodhicitta, one will continuously obtain the happiness arising from joy. If one always meditates on the nature of that happiness and the supreme Bodhi that is truly possessed, one will achieve it, there is no doubt about this. The Bodhicitta, which is the treasure of all accomplishments, if it falls there, the five aggregates and consciousness faint, how can there be an un-despised accomplishment? Thus it is said. Chapter Nine, from the Certain Explanation of the Offering to the True Teacher: Among all vows, offering to the Guru is the best, one should attend to the wish-fulfilling jewel Buddha, the glorious assembly, or others. Thus it is said. The Guru is superior to those who have become the jewels of the three realms, there is nothing better than the Guru. From whomever one receives kindness, the wise will obtain many accomplishments. Thus it is said. Because they do not understand the Dharma of the Buddhas as being like the sky, having heard this supreme vehicle, if sentient beings are frightened by it, then those who slander the Vajrayana will fall into the lower realms. Thus it is said. Again, like a lamp from darkness, the sole Great Bliss Protector, if one constantly remembers and respectfully bows to his two lotus feet, all sins will be exhausted, and sentient beings, through his power, will become like the lotus-bearing Lokanatha, the treasure of all accomplishments, will not
