The two completely established natures, namely absence and non-perversion, are six in total. The eight consciousnesses are as previously mentioned. The two selflessnesses are the selflessness of phenomena and the selflessness of persons. If it cannot be found in the manner of one or different, then it is necessarily non-existent. If the basis exists, then it must be either one or different. Although Buddhist insiders accept the selflessness of persons, they establish the two truths on the basis of phenomena. That is, they consider the coarse, which is consistent with the tenets, to be conventional truth, and the subtle to be ultimate truth. This is because it is established in relation to something else. In sequence, the tenets of the lower vehicles, which are established as the ultimate meaning, are overturned by the wisdom of the higher vehicles, and they believe that there is another, more subtle ultimate truth than that. The tenets of the Madhyamaka school are that all phenomena are established as unborn by the five great reasonings. The vajra sharp weapon that examines the cause is: the four possibilities such as the ear of grain not arising from itself. The examination of the existence or non-existence of the result is: the seed does not arise from the existence of the fruit, etc. The four possibilities of examining both are the cessation of arising: the four possibilities such as multiple fruits not arising from one cause. Examining the essence, the separation of one and many is: if the basis exists, then it must be one or many, and it is established that it does not exist in that category. The great reasoning of dependent origination is: because it arises depending on causes and conditions, it is not born of its own essence. In short, the outer and inner schools argue about whether or not the self of a person exists. The two Hinayana schools argue about whether the four truths and three jewels are truly established. The two Mahayana and Hinayana schools argue about whether external objects are truly established. The two Madhyamaka and Mind-Only schools argue about whether the perfectly established nature is truly established. Therefore, there is no Buddhist insider who does not accept the selflessness of persons. There is no Mahayana practitioner who does not accept the selflessness of phenomena. There is no Madhyamaka practitioner who does not accept freedom from elaboration. In particular, when studying wisdom, if the object cannot be found by wisdom, then clinging cannot be destroyed. For example, it is like thinking that there are no thieves under the bed, and then it is useless when you encounter them. Therefore, you must investigate well and know that it does not exist. The selflessness of persons is: the clinging to the self that thinks "I", and therefore the newly created wrong conceptions of the non-Buddhist, which are inconceivable, etc., that is the five aggregates, etc.

No matter how hard you search, you cannot find "I" apart from the searcher. The mind of the searcher itself vanishes in an instant, so it cannot find "I." Even if there is, it is only a conventionally designated name "I" placed upon the aggregation of the five skandhas, and there is no independently existing "I." This is what is meant by no-self. Regarding the absence of self in phenomena: If you break down a single dust particle into dust particles in four directions, and further break it down into a central dust particle, there is no part left. If the moments of past and future thoughts do not meet, then the future thought cannot know what the past thought thought. If they meet, then the intermediate thought would have two parts, past and future. If you further break down the intermediate thought, it is like a moment with no parts. Therefore, the absence of self in phenomena is emptiness. Therefore, what remains is only the manifestation of phenomena, each dependent on the power of its own karma. Phenomena are the appearance of the grasping and the grasped in conventional truth, and the absence of self upon them is the ultimate truth of the nature of phenomena. The continuity of the alaya consciousness exists, and habits are placed upon it, from which the six consciousnesses and mental factors arise, so appearances are determined to be mind. Above equipoise, thoughts are cut off and dissolved into no-self. Thus, remembering emptiness in emptiness and abiding in it is to determine the mind as emptiness. Thus, knowing beyond thought and free from elaboration is to determine emptiness as awareness. From the perspective of pith instructions, abiding in the mind, knowing and understanding everything in an uninterrupted state, is true vipashyana. Abiding clearly in the state of the clarity of awareness is also called abiding in the mind, which is shamatha-vipashyana. The discipline of the three trainings on the path is not to violate what is prescribed in the Pratimoksha, Bodhisattva, and Mantra vows. The shamatha of samadhi, in which the nine ways of abiding of the mind are: placing the mind, continuous placing, re-placing. Not letting the mind wander with mindfulness, like tethering a horse's head. Gathering the mind that has slightly wandered. Rejoicing by remembering the benefits of abiding. And pacifying sinking and excitement. Creating obstacles. Other thoughts of the five poisons. Pacifying these thoughts, focusing with diligent effort. Making the mind focus on one object. Relaxing after equal focus. These are the nine ways of abiding. The five faults that are contrary to it are: laziness, forgetting the instructions, lethargy, excitement, and making effort. The antidotes are: generating faith and diligence in samadhi, applying mindfulness, knowing lethargy and excitement, not over-collecting and not over-relaxing. These are the five applications. Above. The eight applications to abandon these faults are: generating faith in samadhi.
