I prostrate to the earth! From the Sutra of Originating Discipline: How, relying on that very thing, all thoughts are unthinkable. When one thinks the unthinkable, at that time, the inconceivable arises. Sentient beings are thus unthinkable, and the unthinkable is also without victory. Therefore, the Buddha, free from thought, thoroughly expounds this thought. In that inconceivable mind, it transcends the expression of all thoughts. There is no conceptualization of various concepts, it is unattached great bliss, the supreme of all aspects. Thus, it is taught as inconceivable. From the Hevajra: This is called samsara, this is nirvana itself. Abandoning samsara elsewhere, nirvana will not be attained. Thus, it is taught that samsara and nirvana are inseparable. From the Kalachakra: As long as change is not attained, it remains in the relationship of support and supported. Once the immutability of mind is attained, there is no relationship of support and supported. Thus, it speaks of the great bliss of immutability. The lineage of Mahamudra: Tilopa, the Lord of Yoga, although in the ultimate sense is non-dual with the Great Vajradhara, in the provisional sense, by relying on the guru of the four-commandment lineage, he demonstrated the manner of one emanation attaining enlightenment here. Naropa, at the end of twelve great hardships, simultaneously gave rise to realization. When he heard the Hevajra initiation from the venerable Marpa, he gradually brought forth the Mahamudra realization from the third support. Some claim that time was the cause and that it arose during the time of Metripa, but that is not reasonable. Why? In the former case, in his own song, he had already said that the wind had become immutable. At that time, it was for the sake of practicing Kalachakra in the bliss that does not change in an instant. Therefore, without showing the manner of becoming enlightened there, later, in the presence of Metripa, the realization became stable. Jetsun Mila, at Drakar Taso, relied on the kindness of Marpa and depended on tummo. Dakpo, after meeting Jetsun, as prophesied, saw it in Nyal Sewa Lung after twelve years. He completed it in Olkha. This also relied on tummo. Although Phagdru Kagyu spoke of it as the Path of Seeing in the Sakya school, he did not understand it, but obtained it by relying on the introductory words of Dakpo Chenpo, so it was the former.

It is said that one must report to the Lamas in this way. Ling Repa relied on three years of retreat and generated the heat sign of the channels and winds. By meeting Phagdru, realization became outwardly and inwardly liberated, and it was prophesied that realization would be high up to the Ganges River in India. This is the way of sudden arising. Gyarepa, in front of Ling, manifested inconceivable samadhi and miraculous powers, and presuming he had realization, reported it. Ling said that genuine realization would arise in five years. Later, in Kharchu in Kham, he encountered misfortune, and due to limitless devotion to the Lama, realization arose. Relying on Tsalpa, compassion erupted. This is considered the way of breakthrough arising. Godtsangpa, relying on the instruction of focusing on one point, realization arose after eighteen days. However, by practicing in Tsari, Tise, and finally in Godtsang Rock Cave, he gained stability. This is considered the way of gradual arising. Phagdru asked Chapha, what is the main cause of samsara? He replied: It is the subtle stains of negative karma. What is negative karma? It is like the smell of ghee that clings to a container. This still did not satisfy him. He asked Sachen, who replied: It is when the winds and mind do not enter the central channel. After saying this, he still did not feel satisfied. He asked Dwags-po, who replied: Virtuous friend, what you are boasting about is just ordinary consciousness. With this, Chapha finally understood. The reason for this is that the teacher said that the cause of samsara and nirvana is awareness and non-awareness, and now he finally understands. The eight aspects of sound are: sound, language, name, sign, symbol, term, word, and meaning. The first of these is: the sound that can be heard, indicating sentient beings. The second is: Sanskrit (Sanskrit: संस्कृतम्, Saṃskṛtam, perfected), the language of self-nature, corrupted speech, and the language of meat-eaters. The third is: according to the Abhidharma tradition, the collection of letters is considered to have the nature of earth. Grammarians combine the root with suffixes, but do not add case endings, such as "Buddha." The fourth is: the name represents its meaning. The fifth is: for a term that did not exist before, suddenly wanting to use it and adding it, for example: for something with branches and leaves, naming it "tree," thereby understanding the relationship between the name and the named thing. The sixth is: the expression made for the purpose of being able to use and stop using it, for example: wood that can support a roof is called a pillar.
