Because it is said (in the scriptures) that one enters the path of wrath. If these are explained in accordance with the Hevajra Samvara Tantra, then a complete and authentic teaching with the path and its fruit will arise. In short, the empowerments of the nine vehicles are as follows: As it is said, for the six vehicles such as Yoga, the outer tantra empowerment is done with water; for the generation stage Mahayoga, the inner empowerment is done with the water of the elements; for the completion stage Anuyoga, the accomplishment empowerment is done with the water of sound; for the Great Perfection Atiyoga, the secret empowerment is done with the complete water. The vows to be protected at these times are: generally, the twelve root downfalls and the eight branch major vows. In particular, in the Nyingma tradition, the root guru's body, speech, and mind vows are divided into nine categories, totaling twenty-seven. Specifically, what should be practiced, what should not be abandoned, what should not be discarded, what should be understood, and what should be cultivated, are the twenty-five root and branch vows. If these are summarized, in short, if one understands one's own body as the three vajras (body, speech, and mind), then it includes millions of clusters of mantra vows. In particular, the Lamrim states: "Measure the five vows of guarding food and drink in both meditative and post-meditative states." As it is said, there are twenty items. The ways in which these vows are broken are: the fault of not hearing and contemplating, not knowing the boundaries of downfalls, not respecting the guru and deities, acting carelessly, and afflictions are the four doors through which downfalls arise. The antidotes to these are: cutting off exaggerations and slanders through hearing and contemplating the sutras and tantras, learning all that should be learned, generating pure perception and respect for all, constantly relying on the antidotes of mindfulness and awareness, and striving to counteract whatever affliction is strongest in one's own mindstream. Adding forgetfulness and unclear memory to the above four is called the six causes of vow degeneration. Based on these causes, whether or not the vows are violated, examine one's own mindstream well six times day and night. If it exceeds one-sixth of a session, it exceeds the time limit; exceeding one day is a violation; exceeding one month is a degeneration; exceeding one year is a severance; exceeding two years is a rupture. However, as the basis of discussion in the Immaculate Confession Tantra states, mantra vows, like gold and silver that have been tarnished, can be restored. Therefore, also from the depths of one's heart

If one confesses with a remorseful heart, it can be remedied. However, as time passes, such as periods, days, months, years, etc., the offense gradually becomes heavier. If three years have passed, those offenses cannot be remedied, and in this life, one will be distressed by various undesirable sufferings. As soon as the appearance of this life vanishes, one will fall into a place called the Vajra Hell, never able to escape, and will experience endless suffering. In particular, if one exceeds a period, it can be remedied immediately; if one exceeds a day, it needs to be remedied through hundreds of thousands of tsokhor offerings; if one breaks a commitment, it needs to be remedied by filling with all the possessions one has; if one exceeds a year, it needs to be remedied by giving up children, wife, wealth, and other cherished things; if one exceeds two years, one needs to give up one's own life without hesitation. Furthermore, as stated in the Ornament of Essence, confessing to the field of merit, and mantras and mudras without (Tibetan: བཛྲ་བྷནྡྷ་ཏྲ་ཐ་, Sanskrit Devanagari: वज्रबन्ध त्र थ, Sanskrit Romanization: vajrabandha tra tha, Chinese literal meaning: Vajra Knot Binding), bathing, burning with the fire of tummo, meditating without conceptualization, receiving four or six initiations at the time of the path, truthfully confessing at gatherings, confessing loudly in front of a special object of veneration, offering mandalas, building stupas of body, speech, and mind, purifying in the fire through the yoga of the dakinis who consume, offering outer, inner, and secret tormas, reciting secret mantras and practicing meditation, saving the lives of humans and animals, reading Buddhist scriptures, building a mandala in front of the lama or oneself and receiving initiation, reciting the Hundred Syllable Mantra on auspicious days, reciting the Sutra of the Three Heaps, practicing the subtle yoga spoken of in the Vajrasattva Net of Illusion and the Lama, etc., practicing the general bathing of yoga spoken of in the Elephant Rampage Tantra, or performing the continuous recitation of Dongtruk, etc., various methods of confession, it is crucial not to let the offense pass even one night, and after confessing, one must protect it again. By practicing in this way, in this life alone, or in the bardo of death, or even after sixteen lifetimes, one will attain the supreme accomplishment of Mahamudra, and even temporarily, one will accomplish common accomplishments, the Eight Great Accomplishers, the Eight Qualities of Power, etc., all spontaneously. These are the twenty-one bhumis: First, the Joyful; Second, the Stainless; Third, the Illuminating; Fourth, the Blazing; Fifth, the Very Difficult to Conquer; Sixth, the Manifest; Seventh, the Far Reaching; Eighth, the Immovable.
