Ninth, the eye-opening is done by holding an eye ointment stick that is no smaller than six parts of gold, taking butter mixed with honey, etc., from a silver bowl, and applying the eye ointment to the eyes of the deity while showing the scriptures and a mirror, contemplating the image of the deity, and thinking that the deity compassionately looks upon all beings, and then showing the mirror.

Should be done. Fifth, the patron sits on a yellow cushion with the Yungdrung symbol drawn on it. As you have urged, I have completed the consecration. Make great offerings to the sacred object for seven days, and then also make great offerings as much as possible, that is what must be done. Connect the sacred object and the patron with a khatag, and begin the offerings. Sixth, the patron generates the main mandala, dispels obstacles, and gives the eight auspicious symbols. If happy, one can also give the eight auspicious signs and the seven treasures of the Chakravartin, etc., and let everyone present touch them. Conduct activities such as the teachings of elders and the inquiries of juniors. Seventh, make great offerings to the sacred object. Eighth, conclude with pure aspirations. Ninth, treat the master and the Sangha with respect. Tenth, hold a celebration for the consecrator, craftsmen, staff, etc. As it says in the "Consecration Tantra": "When the consecration is completely finished, praise and recite auspicious words, play musical instruments such as wooden fish, and offer as much as you please." Also, as Master Moonlight says: "Just like one's own reverence, hold celebrations day and night, with music such as songs and dances, and stay with play, laughter, and joy." Like that and so on, hold celebrations as it is said, and enjoy the food of grass roots. The former says: "The food purified by mantras should also be given to the disciples." Like that. In connection with this, one should hold grand feasts and offerings, etc. As it says in the "Consecration Tantra": "With elephants, horses, vehicles, and wealth, make offerings devoutly. Then diligently offer movable property to it. If the deity himself wants to be pleased, then please the master with reverence, and like that in all aspects, one must truly please the master. Then to those who are disciplined, monks, lay practitioners, nuns, make offerings with great reverence, and offer suitable items." Also, as it says in the "Kalachakra": "Head ornaments, silk pendants, as well as necklaces, bracelets, as well as belts, earrings, etc., should be offered to the master, and the lord of men, the patron, should also do it according to his ability." Like that. Twelfth, after collecting the remaining affairs, quietly leave. Thirteenth, in order to make up for deficiencies, perform a peaceful fire offering, these two can be done every day as well. Thus, the most important part of the consecration is the fire offering.
