Never abandon the mind of loving-kindness towards all beings. Do not abandon the Bodhicitta, and do not slander the Dharma of oneself and others. Do not excessively proclaim secrets to immature beings. Do not denigrate one's own aggregates, and do not disparage the Buddhadharma of the Bhagavan. Abandon false loving-kindness, and do not define the Dharma. Do not deceive beings with faith, and always rely on vows. To slander women who are the nature of wisdom is a fault and a sin. In the Kalachakra initiation, it is said: "By disturbing the mind of the glorious Lama, the disciples will commit a root downfall, like grasping a rabbit (an impossibility). Slandering tenets becomes the sixth downfall, and giving secrets to immature beings is dangerous. The afflictions of the body are Nagas, and lack of faith in pure Dharma is the ninth downfall. False loving-kindness, separated from names, etc., gives happiness but clings to sects and fame." "Disappointing beings with faith is the sun of faults, and abandoning vows leads to change. It is certain to strike all women, and it will surely become a strong woman, even for those who abide in the Vajrayana." Furthermore, the same is taught in the Vajra Heart Ornament Tantra and the Black Enemy, etc. The well-known master Balipa said: "Because the Vajra Holder says that accomplishment comes from following the master, therefore, transgressing against him is the first root downfall. Transgressing the Sugata's teachings is said to be the second downfall. Being angry with Vajra brothers is the third act of wrongdoing. Abandoning loving-kindness towards beings, the Victorious Ones say is the fourth downfall. The root of Dharma is Bodhicitta, and abandoning it is the fifth downfall. Slandering one's own or another's tenets, slandering the Dharma is the sixth downfall. Proclaiming secrets to immature beings is the seventh downfall. Disparaging the five aggregates is disparaging the Buddha himself, which is the eighth downfall. Doubting the naturally pure Dharmas is the ninth downfall. To conceptually fixate on Dharmas that are free from names, etc., is the eleventh. Discouraging beings who have faith is the twelfth. Similarly, not relying on the substances of vows is the thirteenth. Slandering women who are the nature of wisdom is the fourteenth." This is from the twelfth chapter of the Vajra Heart Ornament Tantra.

Also, regarding the fourteen non-common transgressions, for mantra practitioners, they are the means to accomplish all purposes, and should not be abandoned or discarded. Reviling the guru, transgressing the words of the Sugatas, causing disharmony among fellow practitioners through hatred, abandoning the great Bodhicitta, denigrating the extreme views of oneself and others' schools, revealing secrets to unsuitable vessels, denigrating the aggregates that are the nature of the Buddhas, doubting the Dharma of joy, generating affection towards wrathful deities who possess three qualities, conceiving nihilistic views of emptiness, displeasing the minds of those with faith, not valuing the vows of those with faith, and reviling wise women. If mantra practitioners completely abandon these, they will certainly attain accomplishment. Thus it is said. In the Explanatory Tantra, the Vajra Peak, it is said: "The fourteen others besides these are thoroughly explained as transgressions. They should not be abandoned or discarded, and are said to be root downfalls." Thus it is said. Furthermore, in the Guhya Tantra, it is said: "One should not revile the guru, one should not transgress the words of the Sugatas, one should not revile everyone, one should have compassion for sentient beings, one should not speak to those who are not suitable, one should not revile suitable sentient beings, one should not revile one's own body with (evil words), one should not measure the nature of Dharma, one should not revile the Dharma of others, and one should not revile women." These are the ten root downfalls. In the Galcho, it is said: "The Vajra Master is the chief, and for the Vajra brothers and sisters, even if life is at stake, one should not generate hatred or torment. This is the vow of body. The guru who possesses the lineage, for the disciple who possesses the vessel, blesses with the mantra of the Yidam deity, and should not interrupt the lineage of mantra and mudra. This is the vow of speech. The instructions of the generation stage and completion stage, abide in the mandala of the channels, are accomplished in the letters of the mantra, rely on the nectar of the elements, and the heart essence is the instructions of the winds. This is the vow of mind. If one does not transgress these three vows, Vajrasattva abides in the heart, and the accomplishments of body, speech, and mind will be attained in this very life." Thus it is said. Ultimately, transcending the boundaries of protection is the conduct of a person who has been liberated from samsara. Sakya Pandita said: "There is no need for empowerment and vows, one is liberated from all mudras and offerings, abandoning all meditation and contemplation."
