Or, they also make offerings to the stupas of the Buddhas. They make this aspiration: "By this root of virtue, may I always, without interruption, in that Buddha-field, be filled with the fragrance of divine incense." Thus, they generate the mind. Furthermore, Subhuti, Bodhisattva-Mahasattvas also completely offer divine unguents to the Tathagatas and the stupas of the Tathagatas, thinking thus: "By this root of virtue, may I manifestly awaken to unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment, and may all sentient beings in that Buddha-field be endowed with the touch of divine substances." Thus, they generate the mind. Furthermore, Bhagavan, why is that? Because from this arise the Tathagatas and the relics of the Tathagatas. Therefore, those relics of the Tathagatas should also be venerated, respected, honored, and worshipped. Sons or daughters of good families who venerate, respect, honor, and worship them will not fall into wrong views or die in evil destinies, but will experience the perfections of gods and humans, and according to their aspirations, will completely pass into nirvana in the Hearer Vehicle, the Solitary Buddha Vehicle, or the Perfectly and Completely Awakened Buddha Vehicle. Bhagavan, therefore, seeing the Tathagata and seeing the written Prajnaparamita are no different. Why is that? Bhagavan, it is because the Prajnaparamita and the Tathagata are not two; there is no duality. Bhagavan, whichever son or daughter of good family venerates, respects, honors, and worships the relics of the Tathagata, the limit of that root of virtue is invisible, whether it be the greatness and height of the Kshatriya caste, or the greatness and height of the Brahmin caste, or the greatness and height of the householder caste, or the gods of the Four Great Kings, or the gods of the Thirty-three.
