etc. Furthermore, the syllable Hūṃ (藏文:ཧཱུཾ,梵文天城体:हुं,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,汉语字面意思:吽) and the syllable Phaṭ (藏文:ཕཊ,梵文天城体:फट,梵文罗马拟音:phaṭ,汉语字面意思:呸), etc., mentioned in the generation stage, are free from conceptualization. The yoga of the completion stage is just that. There is no other method of accomplishment for it. etc. By becoming accustomed to contemplating the wheel of the mandala as the object of perception, worldly accomplishments will be achieved, but where is the great accomplishment of desire? etc., is extensively taught. For details, it will become clear if you look at those particularly excellent commentaries once and carefully analyze and contemplate them. Therefore, although the various meditations with signs, such as the generation stage, are not the actual means of purification, how could they be meaningless? If it were not so, then all the dharmas that are said to be the cause of the path, not the actual means of purification, would be too extreme for you. Furthermore, your view is that what is to be purified is non-virtue, and what purifies it is virtuous and contaminated. etc. If these are analyzed in detail with pure scriptural authority and reasoning, there are many faults, so I will leave them aside for now. Also, your view is that there is no distinction between what is to be abandoned and the antidote in mantra. As proof of this, you quote the text of the "Ear of Whispered Instructions." The afflictions to be abandoned, because they have become softeners that harm them, abandoning them is the actual practice of the characteristic. It is like the hot power of poison being subdued by a cool medicine. Instead of subduing the afflictions to be abandoned with an antidote that harms them, one cultivates them with a special method, and then they become a companion on the path. It is like the power of poison being transformed into medicine by mantra. Just as a person is burned by fire, fire itself is used to burn. These meanings are the uncommon intention of mantra, or the characteristic of being taught as quick and easy. If this is analyzed, it becomes a view that is outside the intention of the scriptures, tantras, and the great commentaries of the mind class. Moreover, it is also inconsistent with the intention of the "Ear of Whispered Instructions" itself. In the "Ear of Whispered Instructions," the way of abandoning and antidotes is taught, just as how abandoning and antidotes are shown in the characteristic vehicle. As it is said, in the second chapter of "Ear," the limbs of enlightenment.

After obtaining these, one sees that the afflictions to be abandoned have been abandoned, and having seen this, one meditates again. In order to abandon what is to be abandoned, one meditates on the eightfold noble path, the third aggregate. It is said. There, a quote from the Manjushri Root Tantra is cited: Therefore, a wise person of good lineage should strive to abandon ignorance. When ignorance ceases, these phenomena that depend on not knowing will also cease. When ignorance is abandoned, the abandoned afflictions will not circulate universally. Beings will not enter. The streams of samsara will cease. One will draw near to nirvana. It is said. Furthermore, because it is the cause of bondage, these afflictions will be eliminated. It is said. It is also said in the fourth chapter of the Garland of Corn Ears: From abandoning the two obscurations together with their imprints, emptiness and the nature of great bliss, compassion, and so forth, become manifest as stainless. That is what it is called. It is said. It is also said in the tenth chapter of the Garland of Corn Ears: When the two obscurations are gradually abandoned in the stages of the complete path, when the continuum of the result is complete, one is also free from bondage because the imprints have been uprooted. It is said, and so forth, extensively. Therefore, in the Paramita Vehicle and the Mantra Vehicle, there is no difference in abandoning the afflictions to be abandoned by destroying them with antidotes. However, there is a difference between abandoning them with great effort over a long period of time and abandoning them quickly with little effort, because there is a difference between having and not having a special method, and having a relationship. If that is the case, just as fire burns, fire itself also scorches. It is said. It is also said in the Garland of Oral Instructions: Then, are desire and so forth not said to be the cause of falling into error? The answer is yes. In the Hearer Vehicle and the Great Vehicle, which includes the higher vehicles, this supreme vehicle is unsurpassed. There is no contradiction with other methods in this. There, it is said in that way because it is not understood in that way. Here, all the natures of the activity of mind that truly arise from non-dual wisdom are understood in that way, and it is close to the purpose of becoming a Buddha.
