The term "existent" refers to the unreal conceptual imputation. The term "non-existent" refers to both (the conceptual imputation and the dependent arising). The term "because it exists" means that emptiness exists in the unreal conceptual imputation, and the unreal conceptual imputation also exists in emptiness. This is the Middle Way. The term "is" means that everything is neither completely empty nor completely non-empty. Therefore, this is in accordance with the statement in the Prajnaparamita Sutras and others that "everything is neither empty nor non-empty." Thus it is said. The meanings of these are: the conceptual imputation is non-existent and empty in all aspects; the perfectly established emptiness is truly existent and non-empty; the dependent arising, although not truly existent and empty, is existent and non-empty on the conventional level, and the perfectly established and the dependent arising are mutually related as the qualified and the quality. In reality, the dependent arising is non-existent and empty, as the Madhyantavibhaga states: "Although existent, it is not only existent." And its commentary states: "The nature of the dependent arising, although existent, is not truly existent, because it is deceptive." And so on, the Buddha has repeatedly declared that the dependent arising is deceptive and non-existent. Furthermore, both the Madhyantavibhaga and the Sutra Ornament state that the dependent arising is to be abandoned. Therefore, here, "what exists" refers to the perfectly established, and "what is non-existent" refers to the conceptual imputation and the dependent arising. The perfectly established is empty of the conceptual imputation and the dependent arising. Here, the remainder that is empty of the conceptual imputation and the dependent arising, that is, the perfectly established, which is the basis of emptiness, is truly existent. Therefore, the nature, the perfectly established, is other-empty. Similarly, the Mother Sutra states: "Not empty," which means that the nature, the perfectly established, is not empty of its own nature. "It is not non-empty," which means that it is empty of the conceptual imputation and the dependent arising. Therefore, since the conceptual imputation and the dependent arising are not truly existent, it is free from the extreme of addition; since the nature, the perfectly established, is truly existent, it is free from the extreme of subtraction. Therefore, the Middle Way, which is free from the extremes of addition and subtraction, is truly proclaimed. This refutes some Madhyamikas.

Furthermore, the view that Mind-Only school is the ultimate is also refuted. Moreover, in the Madhyamaka treatises, when establishing emptiness through five aspects such as the characteristics and names of emptiness, the characteristics of emptiness are explained as follows: If one wants to know the characteristics, then, the two, the absence of reality and the absence of real things, are the characteristics of emptiness. The two, the absence of grasping and the grasped, and the absence of real things are the characteristics of emptiness. Thus, the nature of the absence of real things is shown as the characteristic of emptiness. Here, since the reality of the grasper and the grasped does not truly exist, it is empty of its own nature. The basis of the absence of the grasper and the grasped is the ungrounded nature of the perfectly established, the nature is not truly non-existent, therefore it is not self-empty. Thus, showing that it is not empty by itself but empty by others as the characteristic of emptiness, ultimately establishes other-emptiness. Here, the so-called "absence of real things," calling the ultimate nature of reality a thing, just as "there are eight unconditioned things," it is only calling the nature a thing, and it is not appropriate to translate bhava as nature. In this way, if the basis of emptiness, which is empty of the conventional dharma to be refuted, that is, the true limit of the nature of reality, is called the emptiness of the nature of non-reality, it is repeatedly declared in this way, and if one can understand these meanings in this way, then it is a good understanding. Furthermore, here, when showing the divisions of emptiness, it says: The emptiness of the eater, the eaten, and its body, and the basis of the dwelling. And who sees it in what way? Because of what is it also emptiness? In order to obtain the two virtues, in order to constantly benefit sentient beings, in order not to abandon samsara, in order to perform inexhaustible good, even if intelligent, one must be completely purified, in order to obtain marks and signs, in order to purify the Buddhadharma, the Bodhisattva practices. Thus, from the emptiness of the interior to the ultimate emptiness of all dharmas, fourteen emptinesses are mentioned. In order to determine how these emptinesses are empty, it is declared: What
