The ground is empty. Taking the non-emptiness of the Sangha, etc., as an example. In the end, it was proclaimed in many ways that some things are empty and some things are not empty. The Buddhas are empty of all defilements, but it is said that they are not empty of the unconditioned emptiness of liberation. This also clearly shows the basis of emptiness, the other-emptiness of ultimate truth. Entering into emptiness is as it is, not inverted. This shows that entering into emptiness, which is empty of all self-nature, is not real. It is also clearly stated in the root commentary of the Madhyamaka doctrine, the Uttaratantra: What is the Tathagatagarbha that is spoken of in the manner of emptiness? "There is nothing to be removed here, nor is there anything to be established. Look at Suchness in Suchness, and be liberated when you see Suchness. With the nature of distinction, the realm is empty of adventitious things, with the nature of non-distinction, the supreme Dharma is not empty." What does this show? Because in the Tathagatagarbha, which is completely pure by nature, there is no reason for the afflictions of samsara to be removed, because being free from temporary stains is its nature. There is nothing to be established in it with the reason of purification, because the pure Dharma nature of non-discrimination is its nature. Therefore, the Tathagatagarbha is separable and differentiated, empty of all shells of affliction, inseparable and undifferentiated, and not empty of the inconceivable Buddha Dharma that transcends the sands of the Ganges. Thus it is said. Therefore, what is not in something is empty of it. Knowing accordingly and truly, what remains of it is always present in it. Knowing as it is. These two verses show the nature of non-inverted emptiness in order to be free from the extremes of addition and slander. What is said here, that something does not exist somewhere, refers to the temporary stains in the Tathagatagarbha.

of its own nature. Because of defilements, the Tathagatagarbha is emptiness. What remains on top of that refers to the many qualities that are inseparable from the Tathagatagarbha, which are eternally present and not empty. Therefore, since it is free from the extremes of addition and subtraction, it is the nature of emptiness that is not inverted. Other than that, if one considers that the adventitious defilements are of the same nature as the basis of purification, the Tathagatagarbha, then it will become a view of addition. If one considers that the ultimate Tathagatagarbha is also empty in its own nature, then it will become a view of subtraction. With this in mind, the Ornament of the Mahayana Sutras also says, "In order to refute the extremes of addition and subtraction." If someone thinks, "The nature of non-discrimination is not empty of the supreme Dharma," this only shows that the Tathagatagarbha is not empty of qualities, but it does not show that its own nature is not empty. But this is not the case, because it has been said that the Tathagatagarbha and its qualities are inseparable, and because of the non-emptiness of qualities, it is established that its own nature is not empty; moreover, if its own nature is empty, then it is contradictory to not be empty of its qualities, because qualities without a basis are impossible. Similarly, this very principle of other-emptiness is also explained in the Madhyamaka treatise Distinguishing the Middle from the Extremes, as it says: "The unreal conceptualization exists, but the two do not exist in it. Emptiness exists in this, and that also exists in this." Its explanation is: "Thus, whatever is not in whatever place, that is empty of it, and is seen as it is in reality. Whatever remains in this, this exists by this, and is known as it is in reality. Thus, the nature of emptiness is shown as it is in reality, without inversion." And "Not empty, not non-empty, therefore all dharmas are taught. Because of existence, because of non-existence, because of existence, this is the Middle Way." The explanation of this verse is: "Not empty means that emptiness is not the unreal conceptualization. Not non-empty means the two graspers, that is, the grasper and the grasped." And "Exists"
