Which is subject to destruction. It depends on causes and conditions; it is compounded. Of the two, samsara and nirvana, the three realms of samsara are completely defiled by afflictions, encompassed by three or eight sufferings, and are with outflows. Great nirvana is complete liberation from all suffering and its causes, it is the great bliss without outflows, without interruption. Of the two, consciousness and wisdom, consciousness is like non-being, darkness, or poison, which should be abandoned, it is conventional self-emptiness. Self-born wisdom is like the light of luminosity or nectar, which should not be abandoned, it is ultimate other-emptiness. The self-appearance of consciousness is the three realms of the conventional, it is particles, not transcending the moment, it is the nature of suffering transformed by karma and afflictions. The self-appearance of self-born wisdom is the three realms of the ultimate, it is particles, transcending the moment, it is not produced by any cause or condition, it is the great bliss without suffering, without interruption. Consciousness and its self-appearance are speakable, thinkable, expressible, and can be the object of reasoning, they are with parts and with examples. Self-born wisdom and its self-appearance are unspeakable, unthinkable, inexpressible, and completely transcend the object of reasoning, they are without parts and transcend all examples. Of the two, the sugatagarbha and adventitious stains, the sugatagarbha is the self-nature of luminous dharmakaya, it is primordial, innate, indestructible, and the great bliss without outflows, pervading like space. Adventitious stains are the minds and mental factors of the three realms, accompanied by the movement of breath, they are the unabandoned habits of transmigration. Therefore, the two truths, the two of samsara and nirvana, and the self-appearances of the two of consciousness and wisdom, are very different, like the difference between the compounded and the uncompounded, the difference between the temporary and the innate, the difference between the artificial and the natural, and so on, distinguished in many ways. Of the three natures, the two, the completely imputed and the dependent, are phenomena, they are temporary, they are conventional self-emptiness. The unchanging perfected nature is the wisdom of the dharmadhatu, it is ultimate other-

Emptiness. Among the three, outer, inner, and other, the outer is the container world and the inner is the sentient beings, which are changing phenomena and are impermanent, being conventionally self-empty. The other is the Tathagatagarbha, which is the original nature of reality, unchanging, being ultimately other-empty. In general, among the three, ground, path, and fruition, the ground is: the Tathagatagarbha Alaya-wisdom, which is the place of all phenomena of samsara and nirvana, is the basis for purifying the faults, and is the basis for manifesting the qualities. The path is: the two accumulations and their retinue, which are the means to exhaust the faults on that ground and to manifest the qualities, the accumulation of wisdom removes the obscurations of the Dharmakaya qualities that are primordially, spontaneously, and constantly abiding, and the accumulation of merit gradually generates the unprecedented qualities of the Rupakaya. The fruit is: the separation-fruit Dharmakaya, the ultimate reality, is the body of suchness, and the generation-fruit Rupakaya, the conventional symbolic body, is the state of perfect self-interest and the interest of others. Thus, the basis of the Dharmakaya, free from defilements, is: the nature lineage, the Dharmadhatu, all-encompassing and without form, like a great treasure that has always been there. The seed of the Rupakaya, the lineage of increasing seeds, the newly generated roots of virtue, are like a tree with good fruit, gradually generated unprecedentedly, and this also relies on the nature lineage. In particular, among the four purifications, the object to be purified, the means of purification, the cause of purification, and the result of purification, the basis of purification is: the Alaya-wisdom, the Tathagatagarbha, the thusness with defilements, like the sky covered with dense clouds, like a jewel covered with mud. The defilements to be purified are: the Alaya-consciousness riding on the breath, and its retinue, like clouds and mud. The path of purification is: the supreme means of stopping the moment of change, and its retinue, like the wind that scatters the clouds, like the stream of water that washes away the mud. The fruit of purification is: on the basis of stopping the moment of change, the unchanging bliss-emptiness, the self-born wisdom, primordially, spontaneously, and constantly abiding, is manifested and attained, like the clou
