I abide at the edge of definitely abandoning all phenomena, I abide at the edge of all peaceful abidings, I abide at the edge of severing the path, I abide at the edge of the great emptiness gate, I abide at the edge of perfect enlightenment, abandoning all afflictions, I abide at the edge of the exhaustion of craving, I abide at the edge of detachment and cessation from desire, I abide at the edge of supreme bliss and nirvana, I abide at the edge of permanence, stability, supreme auspiciousness, and great coolness. Yet, Angulimala, you do not understand this! These and many other teachings, are in great contradiction with those who believe that everything is without foundation and root. In the commentary on the Sutra Taught by the Noble Inexhaustible Intelligence, composed by the great Madhyamika master Acharya Vasubandhu, it also says: From "Rajagriha" to "residing in an immeasurable collection of all qualities," the Bhagavan taught the perfection of the place. Among them, "Rajagriha" refers to the great city of Rajagriha. Or, "King" refers to the Buddha Bhagavan, the King of Dharma. "Griha" refers to the place where the King of Dharma resides, which, in terms of ultimate truth, refers to the pure nature of the Dharmadhatu. Also, in the Vimalaprabha, it says: Similarly, in the root tantra and other kings of the condensed tantra, the place of residence is definitely indicated. Etc., in many excellent commentaries on the Kalachakra tantra of Shambhala, the place where the Buddha Bhagavan resides is mentioned. All these definite meanings are the Dharmadhatu, and the Dharmadhatu itself is the basis, place, and support of all dharmas. Therefore, for those who believe that everything is without foundation and root, it is like being struck by lightning on the head. There are many other examples like this, but I have not written them down for fear of too many words. From "the alaya-jnana is the realm of suchness" to "the ultimate object of knowledge is suchness, yet it is neither existent nor nonexistent," please also refer to these supreme scriptures. The above content is easy to understand, and some of it has already been said before. To those who believe that there is no ultimate truth, although I dare not speak loudly, I would like to offer a suggestion: The only true nirvana spoken of by the Buddhas, Is the rest not inverted at that time? Which wise person would think so?

Thus and so on. Also, in the Lankavatara Sutra, it says: 'Abandoning the mind of Nirvana, only this is true, worldly distinctions are like illusions, one should view them like lotus trees.' And so on. Therefore, the Great Nirvana is said to be the supreme of truths. 'Truth is one, there is no second.' It also says: 'Truth is one, not two, just like this, the truth of cessation.' And so on. Therefore, the truth of cessation is said to be the supreme of truths. In the Sutra of the Collection of Righteous Dharmas, it says: 'Suchness is truth, all other dharmas except for suchness are false.' And so on. Also, in the Golden Light Sutra, it says: 'Reality is truth, other than that is false.' And so on. Therefore, suchness is truth, others are false. From 'suchness is truth, others are false' to 'advising the release of birds' is easy to understand, and some of it has been said before. 'Constantly realizing has both faults and merits.' If one realizes everything as constant, there is a fault, because all conditioned phenomena are impermanent, so it will cause harm. Realizing the ultimate Dharmakaya as constant has merit, because if one realizes that the Buddha constantly abides, one will understand the Tathagatagarbha and generate faith. If one realizes everything as impermanent, there is a fault, because all unconditioned phenomena are permanent, so it will cause harm. Realizing all conditioned phenomena as impermanent has merit, because it accords with the meaning of wisdom and there is a need to eliminate the clinging to permanence, and so on. If one realizes everything as pure, there is a fault, because all contaminated phenomena are impure, so it will cause harm. Realizing the Tathagatagarbha as pure has merit, because there is a need to understand the meaning of primordially pure, completely pure, extremely pure, and exceedingly pure. If one realizes everything as impure, there is a fault, because the Dharmadhatu is primordially pure and constantly abides, so it will cause harm. Realizing the aggregates of appropriation as impure has merit, because it can eliminate attachment. For this reason, it is also said to cultivate the nine contemplations of unattractiveness. If one realizes everything as happiness, there is a fault, because samsara is suffering, so it will cause harm, and one will not generate weariness and renunciation towards samsara.
