Named "Luminous Light." The nature of each of the twelve. Yoga wisdom is completely perfect. Thus it is said. Those are the twelve grounds encompassed by the ultimate truth of cessation. The grounds such as the Joyful Ground are encompassed by the conventional truth of the path. Tantra should be known by other tantras. Sutra should be known by other sutras. Sutra should also be known by tantra. Tantra should also be known by sutra. Both should be known by both. That also requires complete purification through hearing, thinking, meditating, and explaining and practicing. By this, one can realize the nine profound words, the nine profound bases, paths, and results. All the bases and results of definitive meaning are the Tathagatagarbha itself. The path is its yoga. All the bases, paths, and results of provisional meaning belong to their respective retinues. Thus, it should be understood from the Perfect Dharma and the Victorious One's Self-Commentary. This is a verse of oral instructions. Spoken by the perfect wise ones. This is spoken by the lords of the ten grounds, and the great scholar-accomplisher Naropa Pandit and others. The three-in-one pith instruction is not the realm of ordinary people, because they have not realized it that way, and there appear many inverted explanations from it. The reasons why those are not Mind-Only are: because it is the basis that is free from all extremes, because it is the basis that is empty of all conventional dharmas, because it is neither a thing nor a non-thing, but the middle, neutral, third aggregate, therefore it is not a realist. If it is not a realist, it is also not compatible with the Mind-Only doctrine. Furthermore, the basis that is empty of all conventional dharmas, all of those transcend the alaya consciousness dharma. From "How could those be the dharmas of realists?" it is very clear. Not only is the main meaning of the third turning of the wheel of Dharma the Thusness, but also the main meaning of the second turning of the wheel of Dharma is the Thusness, and the Thusness is also complete with immeasurable qualities such as the power of the ultimate unconditioned. It is not a non-affirming negation, therefore it is not self-empty, nor is it a nihilistic emptiness of nothingness. From "To all of those, I prostrate with reverence" to the end is easy to understand. The three-in-one pith instruction. From "I".

Because of not being able to bear it, like releasing a bird, this excellent sound is emitted. The ultimate meaning of this is that for those who have gone astray, not being able to bear it, with great altruistic intention, excellent sounds are emitted and advice is given, just like releasing a bird knowing that the enemy will destroy it. "Whether the Tathagata appears or does not appear." The power of this statement is that, for people, whether they realize it or not; whether they see it or not; whether they believe it or not; whether they attain it or not, etc., are also shown in meaning. The nine completely established natures are the dharmata of all dharmas, the dharmadhatu, the abiding nature of dharma, the faultless nature of dharma, suchness, non-erroneous suchness, non-other suchness, the ultimate limit, and the inconceivable realm. On top of these, the completely non-deteriorating dharmata, constantly abiding in equanimity, and the wisdom of omniscience, adding these three completely established natures, twelve are also spoken of. These constantly, just as before, so too afterwards, with the power of abiding in an unchanging nature, refute many wrong views, such as judging right and wrong by knowing or not knowing, just as one lamp dispels much darkness. This shows that all the profound intrinsic deities, mantras, tantras, mandalas, and mudras, whether the Tathagatas appear or do not appear, whether people understand them or not, are constantly abiding in suchness, thus showing the way of abiding of the empty essence, the Tathagatagarbha. From here to "If there is purity, please show it to me as well," it is clear. To those who hold that everything is without basis or root, because of not being able to bear it, it is requested: The Bhagavan has taught, "The realm of beginningless time is the place of all dharmas, because it exists, all beings and nirvana can be attained." This very statement is quoted and explained in detail in the commentary to the Uttaratantra by the great Madhyamika master Arya Asanga, and in the Arya Ratnakuta Sutra it is also said, "Bhagavan, therefore, the Tathagatagarbha is an undifferentiated connection."
