Therefore. Understanding the bliss of Dharmadhatu has merit, because it is in accordance with wisdom and generates joy and enthusiasm for meditating on Dharmadhatu. Understanding everything as suffering has faults, because all profound natures are great bliss, so it is harmful. Understanding samsara as suffering has merit, because it can reverse attachment and generate renunciation and weariness. Understanding that there is a self has both faults and merits. Understanding that there is a self of the person and phenomena has faults, and similarly, understanding that there is a self of suchness has merit. Understanding that there is no self also has both faults and merits. Understanding that there is no pure self has faults, and understanding that there is no self of the person and phenomena has merit. If one understands that all conventional dharmas exist in their own nature, there is fault, and if one understands that all ultimate dharmas exist in their own nature, there is merit. Understanding existence has both faults and merits. It is said. If one understands that the Tathagatagarbha, which has many qualities, does not exist, there is fault, and if one understands that all temporary stains do not exist in their own nature, there is merit. Understanding non-existence also has both faults and merits. It is said. If one understands that all qualities of intrinsic nature are in their own nature, and are cut off, there is fault, and if one understands that all artificial and temporary dharmas are cut off in their own nature, there is merit. Understanding cutting off also has both faults and merits. It is said. Similarly, Even if you realize permanence, you will not fall into the extreme of permanence, And falling into the extreme of permanence is also abandoned by appearance. Even if you realize annihilation, you will not fall into the extreme of annihilation, And falling into the extreme of annihilation is also abandoned by appearance. Even if you realize existence, you will not fall into the extreme of existence, And falling into the extreme of existence is also abandoned by appearance. Even if you realize non-existence, you will not fall into the extreme of non-existence, And falling into the extreme of non-existence is also abandoned by appearance. This is an intermediate verse. Thus, the meaning of these important and crucial points of the Dharma has been explained in the perfect Dharma, so please take a look. This is a request that I dare not be presumptuous about. Holding that there is no Buddha in one's own nature, From here to "There are extremely many profound instructions," it is easy to understand, and some of them have been said before. If some people have wrong ideas.

From "Thus" onwards. Therefore, if it is said that the Tathagatagarbha, which is complete with many qualities, does not exist in meaning, then this is a mistaken view of cutting the three apart. To refute this, it is said in the Queen Mother Sutra: "How many qualities of Suchness should be spoken of? The qualities of Suchness are immeasurable." Combine it thus: Unmistaken Suchness, non-other Suchness, Dharmata, Dharmadhatu, the very nature of Dharma, the very unchanging nature of Dharma, the ultimate end of truth, the qualities of the inconceivable realm are immeasurable. And, in the Intermediate Mother Sutra, many similar things are said. In the Uttaratantra Shastra, it is also said: "Without distinguishing between luminous and non-luminous, it enters, possessing the Ganges' sands, surpassing the dust of the Buddhas, all Dharmas are complete." And so on. Moreover, it is extensively spoken of in the Garland Sutra and the Finger Garland Sutra and so on. Therefore, please see, in other scriptures also, the ultimate truth is said to be constant, with countless qualities. If it is said, from "If" onwards, to "Please think carefully about all of those" is also easy to understand. From "The Tathagatagarbha causes beings" onwards, to "For existence, there are countless scriptures and reasons" is also easy to understand, and some have already been said before. From "Because of knowing one's own nature, Buddhahood is attained" onwards, to the end of "Abandon such sinful views, more than demons," those views that are more mistaken than mistakes, those mistaken views that have become a place of reproach for the wise, have been refuted. It is enough to merely know the self-nature of afflictions and thoughts. There is nothing to abandon by relying on antidotes. Is it that without abandoning, it is pure in its place? If that is so, then for all things that need to be washed, such as faces, hands, and utensils, do you know or see that without abandoning, they are pure in their place? This is an intermediate verse. If it is said that the meaning of knowing oneself by oneself is that one's own mind-consciousness is the Dharmakaya, and realizing this is enough, then it depends on the situation. For foolish self-made people, the extent of nonsense is immeasurable. Because consciousness is the non-concordant aspect of the Dharmakaya, it is definitely not the Dharmakaya. If it is said that even if it is its non-concordant aspect, it is it, then is poison also nectar?
