They showed the departed ones, and also proclaimed the essence as the universal basis, but those of weak intellect do not know it. Furthermore, proclaiming the universal basis as the essence is not an object of the discriminating mind. When the self-nature is discriminated, it cannot be discriminated. The perfectly accomplished self-nature is always seen by the yogi capable one. And so on. Mañjuśrī, whoever hears, writes, asks, holds, reads, understands this exceedingly vast and great, rare and wonderful Dharma, the dense forest of jewels, and also extensively and truthfully teaches it to others, even if it is only one letter, and whoever worships and respects the one who speaks that Dharma, and gets up in the morning to meet him, and gives food and drink, and touches him with his hand, all those sentient beings, Mañjuśrī, will be completely liberated from all the sufferings of hell, the animal realm, and the world of Yama. Mañjuśrī, in whatever direction of the earth the Dharma speaker resides, there is his tomb, corpse, or remains. Even seeing his corpse will purify the five inexpiable sins. Mañjuśrī, in the great ocean, there are pretas whose bellies are eight thousand yojanas in size. Those pretas have the feeling of inexhaustible suffering from their own karma. Mañjuśrī, likewise, all sentient beings who revile this precious sutra will also experience suffering. Mañjuśrī, whoever makes offerings to this precious sutra with flowers, incense, lamps, perfumes, garlands, unguents, powders, Dharma robes, umbrellas, banners, and divine banners, and also makes offerings to the Dharma speaker, even if the Dharma speaker commits the five inexpiable sins, one should not disturb his mind. Even if a small animal belonging to the animal realm, such as any wild animal or bird, eats the flesh of the Dharma speaker who has died and whose corpse is in the charnel ground, all of them will become irreversible and will attain unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment. All the other wild animals and birds will go to the Buddha field.

It will be obtained in this very life, and there should be no hesitation or doubt about it. Any sentient being who has previously planted roots of virtue, who has previously been taken care of by a Bodhisattva, whose previous Bodhisattva seed has not completely decayed, all of them will hear this great and precious Sutra in the future. Having heard it, they will also make offerings with great offerings. And so on. In the Sutra of the Samadhi of Miraculous Transformation of Perfect Tranquility, it also says: The Tathagata is in a state of samadhi that stops all feelings, is free from feelings, and has attained the supreme state of all feelings. And it says: The realm of Dharma is the Buddha, the Buddha is the true limit, without dust, peaceful, cool, unborn, and unceasing. And it says: Not seeing all dharmas is seeing the Tathagata. And it says: Whoever does not see the nature of all dharmas, he sees the Tathagata. Whoever does not see any dharma, he sees the Tathagata. And so on. Manjushri, any son or daughter of good family, if someone gives to each of the ten directions of the world for billions of kalpas whatever they desire with the four requisites, it is not as great as a son or daughter of good family who, in order to make others believe, says with cunning: The Tathagata is eternal, the Tathagata is everlasting. Even if they only say this one sentence, they will accumulate more immeasurable merit than the former. And so on. In the teachings of the Holy Vimalakirti, it also says: A Bodhisattva who is just beginning to practice will injure two causes, and therefore will not have firm faith in the profound Dharma. What are the two? If they hear a profound Sutra that they have never heard before, they will be afraid and doubtful, and not only will they not rejoice, but they will say: Even if someone proclaims this, we have never heard of it before, where did I come from? Therefore, they will abandon it. Son of good family, they will not rely on, associate with, respect, or honor those who uphold the profound Sutras, who have become vessels of the profound Dharma, and who proclaim the profound Dharma, and from time to time they will say unpleasant things to them.
