If all dharmas are of the nature of non-inherent existence, then for all dharmas that are of the nature of non-inherent existence, who would be completely afflicted or completely purified? Saying this, those who have not understood complete affliction and complete purification will cause the discipline to be inverted, the view to be inverted, the conduct to be inverted, and the livelihood to be inverted. Those whose discipline is inverted, whose view is inverted, whose conduct is inverted, and whose livelihood is inverted will go to the hells of sentient beings, or the birth place of animals, or one of the three evil destinies of the world of Yama. World-Honored One, having seen that fear that has not arisen, I asked the Tathagata, Arhat, Perfectly Complete Buddha about that meaning. World-Honored One, I have no hesitation or doubt about this Dharma nature. The World-Honored One said: Well done! Well done! It is just so, just as you have said. And also in the Ratnakuta Sutra it says: Kashyapa, it is better to abide in the view of self as Mount Sumeru, but it is not so to have pride and cling to the view of emptiness. What is the reason for that? Kashyapa, emptiness arises from all views, Kashyapa, if someone only clings to emptiness, that is incurable. I have said so. And so on, after speaking extensively, it is said again: For example, in order to eliminate disease, a doctor gives a laxative to someone, but if the diseases are not stimulated and cleared, then the disease cannot be cured from the root. Similarly, if the most excellent emptiness arises from clinging to dense views, but if someone only clings to emptiness, then the Victorious One said that it is incurable. Moreover, in the presence of the Holy Nagarjuna, it is also said: The Buddhas declared emptiness in order to abandon all views, if someone clings to emptiness, that is incurable. It is also said: If one views emptiness incorrectly, it will destroy those with little wisdom. And so on, and again, having well separated the two emptinesses, it is said, in the Lankavatara Sutra and the Madhyamaka-krama of the Holy Nagarjuna: One is unborn emptiness, one is born.

Emptiness of. The emptiness of the unborn is supreme. The emptiness of the born is destruction. (End of quote) Furthermore, the great Madhyamika master, Arya Asanga, also said: "How does one misunderstand emptiness? If a renunciate or a Brahmin does not accept that anything is empty, nor does he accept that anything is empty of anything, then such a view is called a misunderstanding of emptiness. Why? Because the logic of emptiness is that the 'empty' is non-existent, and the 'that which is empty' is existent. If everything is non-existent, then where, what, and by what means would become empty? Therefore, it itself cannot become emptiness. Therefore, such a view is a misunderstanding of emptiness. How, then, does one correctly understand emptiness? Because in anything, anything that is not there, one correctly sees that it is empty of that. And whatever remains in it, that is truly present here." Therefore, fully understanding reality as it is, is called entering emptiness correctly and without inversion. (End of quote) It is also taught that ultimate truth is ultimately established. Arya Nagarjuna in his auto-commentary, in the *Gala Fearless*, states: "Ultimate truth is that which the noble ones, having understood without error, see all phenomena as unborn; that is the ultimate truth, because it is truth for them." Furthermore, the same teacher in the *Madhyamaka Meditation Stages* says: "How, with pure wisdom, is this ultimate nature of self utterly established, and not arising from something else that is examined?" And in the *Praise of Dharmadhatu*: "Just as a lamp placed inside a vase does not appear at all, so too, with afflictions dwelling inside the vase, the dharmadhatu is not seen. In whatever direction there is a hole in the vase, from that very direction the nature of light will appear. When that vase is shattered by the vajra of samadhi, then it illuminates to the ultimate end of space. The dharmadhatu is unborn, and never ceases; at all times it is without afflictions, and there is no beginning."

Without beginning, middle, or end, free from defilements, thus it is said. If one does not fully know this, one revolves in the three realms. It dwells in all sentient beings. I prostrate and pay homage to the Dharmadhatu. Thus it is said.
