Those who do not do those things will be distracted at that time. Know that they will abandon the sutras with the marks of Dharma robes. Those sentient beings who possess immeasurable qualities will develop faith when they hear the Mahayana. Those sons of good family who desire the sacred Dharma, their countless sinful deeds will be purified by headaches, the torment of plagues, pain, and slander. And so on. Son of good family, for example, just as a very ugly stain remains until the sun rises, and as soon as the sun rises, it completely disappears, so too, son of good family, the countless sins of those sentient beings remain until the great sun of complete Nirvana has not risen, and when the great sun of complete Nirvana rises, those sins will be completely purified. Son of good family, furthermore, for example, if someone wants to renounce from household life to homelessness, but has not yet taken the novice vows, and if someone offers a meal to the Sangha of monks including the Tathagata, then that householder also puts on Dharma robes and goes into the village to beg for alms together with the Shravakas of the Tathagata, just as he belongs to the Sangha of the Shravakas of the Tathagata. Son of good family, a Bodhisattva Mahasattva who studies this sutra belongs to the ranks of Bodhisattva Mahasattvas who have attained the ten bhumis. Regarding this sutra, if someone is deluded by external objects, or for the sake of idle talk, or for the sake of gain, respect, and praise, and only hears it without abandoning this sutra, then apart from abandoning it out of arrogance, those other sentient beings will gradually attain the complete Bodhi of the Buddhas and Arhats. And so on, very much. Also transmitted from India, son of good family, evil monks do not grieve when they hear of Nirvana, they (think) the Nirvana of the Tathagata is satisfying. If the Tathagata remained in the world, our gains would be
