The Clarifier of the Ultimate Definitive Meaning of Suchness. The Clarifier of the Ultimate Definitive Meaning of Suchness. In Sanskrit: Nitārthaparyantatatvasyaprakāśakaṃ Nāma. In Tibetan: The Clarifier of the Ultimate Definitive Meaning of Suchness. The Buddha-nature, the Tathāgatagarbha, the great nirvāṇa that is naturally complete, the ultimate of purity, self, bliss, and permanence, the naturally luminous dharmakāya, the Perfection of Wisdom, the essence body, indivisible, all-pervading, the non-duality of space and wisdom, the spontaneously arisen wisdom, the coemergent body, the coemergent wisdom, the great ultimate other-emptiness, the unconditioned Buddha, Dharma, and Sangha, the deities, the }s, the tantras, the maṇḍalas, and the body encompassing all mudrās, speech, mind, wisdom, qualities, and miraculous activities that are immeasurable, limitless, and unfathomable, the thusness that is immutable, completely transcending all conceptualizations, consciousness, dependent origination, and instants, the primordial Buddha, the ground Buddha, the Tathāgata who is primordially liberated, the emptiness that cuts off the aggregates, the emptiness of annihilation, far removed from self-emptiness, the essence of non-things, and the impartial great compassion, the unchanging great bliss, the refuge abiding in the all-pervading space, I prostrate to all the Jewels! I offer and take refuge! From the blessings and accumulation of merit of that, the conventional symbolic body, I also prostrate to all the unconditioned Buddhas, Dharma, and Sangha! I offer and take refuge! Those meanings are extensively and repeatedly taught in the profound and extraordinary scriptures, and also taught in the Great Nirvāṇa Sutra. The reasons why the previously taught non-self and the subsequently taught self do not contradict each other, along with detailed explanations with examples, are also taught by the Bhagavan in the Great Nirvāṇa Sutra translated by Lha'i Zla-ba: "Monks, now I will explain the meaning of this example. You should know that the meaning of this verse is this, and the words are these."

This is not clear. Just as when a person dies, temples, incense, land, the sun, the moon, trees, and mountains do not rotate, but one sees them as rotating. Without grasping the inverted perception, all ignorant people think of self, think of permanence, think of happiness, and think of suffering, universally employing these perceptions. Among these, the so-called "self" is the meaning of "Buddha." The so-called "permanence" is the meaning of "Dharmakaya." The so-called "happiness" is the meaning of "Nirvana." The so-called "suffering" is a technical term of the Dharma. Monks, you think that the Blessed One, we cultivate the perception of suffering, impermanence, and no-self. Do not be arrogant and conceited due to pride. If you cultivate these three in that way, then in my teachings, the three cultivations you cultivate will become meaningless. The three ways of cultivating to know suffering are special, and especially special. Perceiving happiness from suffering is inverted. Perceiving suffering from happiness is inverted. Perceiving permanence from impermanence is inverted. Perceiving impermanence from permanence is inverted. Perceiving self from no-self is inverted. Perceiving no-self from self is inverted. Perceiving purity from impurity is inverted. Perceiving impurity from purity is inverted. Without correctly understanding these four inversions, the cultivation you have cultivated has been cultivated and increased. You have cultivated suffering in happiness. You have cultivated impermanence in permanence, no-self in self, and impurity in purity. Worldly people also have happiness, self, permanence, and purity. Transcendent people also have happiness, self, permanence, and purity. There are inconsistencies here. The word "letter" is a synonym for "worldly person." The word "meaning" is the world.

Transcendent wisdom. Then, the monks said to the Blessed One: Blessed One, the four perversions and so on that the Tathagata has placed in the body, we have seen and meditated on them for a long time. Now, how should we understand them? Please give us your instructions. Please let the Tathagata remain for a kalpa or more than a kalpa. Whatever the Tathagata teaches, we will do accordingly. If the Tathagata does not remain, we should not live together with poisonous snakes in the same house. If the Tathagata does not remain, then practicing celibacy will be of no benefit. For your sake, we will also completely enter into nirvana. Then, the Blessed One said to those monks: Monks, do not say that. Monks, I will entrust the teachings to Kashyapa's hand. This will be like the Tathagata and will become the refuge of the monks. It will become the protector of monks and sentient beings. For example, a king, the lord of many cities, goes to one city, and a Gṛhapati (梵文,Gṛhapati, romanization: Grihapati, literal meaning: householder) anoints the king. Likewise, in this world, I anoint the great Kashyapa. Monks, how do you cultivate the perception of suffering, impermanence, selflessness, and impurity? Monks, for example, when the summer season arrives, people store water in the forest, and each person takes their swimming gear and plays in the water. In that water, one person places a precious jewel of the Vaidurya family. Because they want to obtain that Vaidurya, they all abandon their swimming gear and enter the water. In it, whatever there is of rubble or gravel, they think it is a jewel, take it, and say: I have obtained the jewel. I have obtained the jewel. Each one comes out of the water and sits by the pond, and the thought arises that this is not a jewel. The water of that pond also
