It is as beautiful as the moonlight with the light of jewels. Seeing that beauty, they arise with the thought of merit, thinking, "Oh, it is a jewel." Among them, one who is skilled in means and quick-witted, just like finding that jewel as it is. Monks, you hold that all is suffering, all is without self, all is impermanent, all is impure. Like this, holding all aspects and meditating and practicing, all those will become false and meaningless like tiles and pebbles in a pond. Act like a person skilled in means. Holding all aspects, whatever you meditate on, in that there is happiness, there is self, there is permanence, there is purity. These four aspects are called non-inverted. Therefore, like a jewel, meditate on the true nature of the Dharma, meditate on the concept of permanence. Then, the monks said to the Blessed One: The Blessed One said, monks, all dharmas are without self, so meditate like that. Those who meditate like that will abandon self-grasping. Abandoning self-grasping, one will attain Nirvana. Since it was taught like that, what is the meaning of that teaching? Blessed One, Tathagata, please explain the difference. The Blessed One said to those monks: Monks, well done, well done! Monks, wanting to cut off my doubts, you should ask like that, very good! Monks, for example, in some city, there is a king who is foolish and ignorant, and he has a bad doctor. That doctor is very high in status, and the king also respects him. He thinks that only milk is medicine, but he does not know the root of the disease, and he mistakenly uses milk therapy, giving milk to all people suffering from wind diseases, and also to those suffering from bile and phlegm diseases. Even if he does that, he is still a cherished doctor, and that king is also a foolish person who cannot distinguish right from wrong.

Then, a doctor who was proficient in the eight branches of medicine and knew the later treatises, and another new doctor from another country, relied on that doctor and said: I have come to study because I have heard your name, please make me your teacher. Then, that incompetent doctor, having heard those words, said to the newly arrived doctor: For forty-eight years, you must serve me well, serve me through hard work, and then study, and you will become a doctor. Then, he listened to those words and said: I will do that. Then, he finally satisfied that incompetent doctor, and then went to the king's palace, and said to that king: Great king, you must always devote yourself to all the treatises, and if you do so, you will become a qualified king. The king also said: That is true, I have heard it. Then, that king distinguished between that incompetent doctor and the other doctor, and expelled that bad doctor from the country, and honored the other good doctor. Then, that doctor thought: Now the time has come. Then he said to the king: Great king, if you are pleased with me, please allow me to make a request. If the great king is also pleased, please allow me to make it. The king said to the doctor: From my right hand downwards, please ask from all the wealth. The doctor said to the king: Great king, the milk test of that incompetent doctor is the poison Halahala Halahala poison), do not let him deceive you, please rule over all your land, the milk test of the former doctor is the poison Halahala Halahala poison), whoever drinks milk as medicine, cut off his head. Please order this. If you do not do so, sentient beings will die untimely deaths. I wish to live, I wish to be without disease, I, the god, wish for that request. Then, the king said to that doctor: If that is the case, make a small request and then give the order. Saying this, he gave the order. Then, according to the order, everything was in accordance with the rules.

Completed. Then, that doctor again reported to the king, saying: Please issue such orders repeatedly. Having said that, the doctor cured people's illnesses with sweet, sour, salty, spicy, astringent, and bitter tastes. Later, after some time, the king fell ill, summoned that doctor, and instructed him: I am about to die, and in accordance with the customs and traditions of kings, I will give you whatever you desire. Then, that doctor reported to the king: Great king, I am not lying, milk is nectar, please consume it with your food. Then, that king said to that doctor: Are you intoxicated by bile? Or are you trying to deceive me? Before you said milk was poison, but now you say milk is the best medicine. Alas, it was terrible to dismiss the previous doctor. He also praised the healing properties of milk. In that case, he was a great doctor, not a bad one. Your research on milk is the reason for my dismissal. Having said that. The doctor reported: Great king, please do not think otherwise. For example, if wood or a wall is eaten by insects, even if it appears like the strokes of letters, wise people will not say it is insect writing. Even if it becomes like written letters, do not be surprised. Similarly, you should regard the previous doctor's research on milk as insect-eaten writing, because he did not distinguish the differences between various types of milk. The king said to that doctor: Alas, that bad doctor, how could he not know the differences between various types of milk? The doctor reported: Great king, milk is both nectar and poison. The reason it is called nectar is because the calf of that cow is not very strong, does not drink the residue of alcohol, does not live in forest caves, lowlands, or muddy water, does not allow the herdsman to milk it, does not eat harvested grass, stays in its own herd, does not walk with buffalo herds, and has other such qualities.
