As it should be relied upon, similarly, those who have the wisdom and wish to be separated from the suffering of samsara and attain the bliss of nirvana should also fully understand that all of samsara, which is tainted and encompassed by results, is suffering, and should abandon all sources of arising that are encompassed by its cause, namely afflictions and karma. Those stainless cessations and the bliss of nirvana should be directly realized and attained, and for that purpose, the five uncontaminated paths should be gradually relied upon in the continuum. Thus it is said. There are two ways to ascertain the manner of emanation by the example of Brahma: the way it appears to those with fortune, and the way it does not appear to those without fortune. There are three ways of showing appearance, of which the similarity of not needing effort is: For example, the great Brahma deva of the form realm does not move from the abode of Brahma, that is, the palace of the first dhyana, to another place, but in the desire realm, the appearance of emanation is shown without effort in all six abodes of the gods who enjoy desire. Similarly, the Buddhas, the perfectly complete Buddhas, never move from the ultimate Dharmakaya to another place, but in all the infinite realms of the world, to the trainable beings who have fortune, without effort and spontaneously, the various kinds of magical displays that subdue whatever is appropriate are shown by the emanations of the conventional form body. Thus it is said. The similarity of eliminating faults is shown as: For example, the great Brahma deva always abides in his own palace without moving, but his emanated body pervades all the abodes of the gods of the desire realm. When the six kinds of gods of the desire realm see the opulence of the gods of the form realm, many gods of the desire realm abandon their attachment to the objects of desire, such as beautiful forms, pleasant sounds, fragrant smells, sweet tastes, and smooth touches, in order to attain the state of Brahma. Similarly, the Sugata

Just as the Buddhas who have perfected enlightenment abide in the Dharmakaya, never moving from it, so too, through the Nirmanakaya, they manifest infinite transformations in all realms of the world, which are seen only by fortunate beings to be trained. Relying on seeing the transformations of the Rupakaya, many fortunate beings to be trained also, in order to attain the perfections of the Buddha, constantly apply themselves to purifying all defilements of the two obscurations together with their habitual tendencies. This is what is said. Showing the similarity from the perspective of having the fortune is: In the past, in order to accomplish the purposes of the gods, the power of Brahma himself making aspirations, and the power of the shared merit accumulated by the gods who enjoy desires seeing Brahma, just as Brahma manifests in the desire realm without effort, so too, the Nirmanakaya of the self-arisen, perfect Buddha also, through the previous aspirations of the Buddha and the power of the merit of the beings to be trained, manifests various transformations in the world without effort from the Dharmakaya. This is what is said. The way in which there is no appearance to those without fortune is: When the beings to be trained by the Buddhas are ready, they descend from the realm of Tushita to Jambudvipa, enter the womb of Maya and other mothers, are born in Lumbini and other gardens, go to the great city of Kapilavastu and other places where their father the king is, joyfully play together with eighty thousand consorts and other retinues, renounce the world from the palace, practice austerities in extremely secluded places, go to Bodh Gaya and defeat the hosts of demons, attain the state of great enlightenment through the Vajra-like Samadhi, and turn the wheel of Dharma to lead sentient beings to the city of peace and Nirvana, etc., all have been well explained. Once they see that the affairs of those who are suitable have been completed, the Mighty Ones show Nirvana.

showing the way, and for sentient beings who have no fortune to see the Buddha, it will not appear in their field of vision. This is the meaning (of the above scripture). Taking the sun as an example to determine the way of spreading wisdom, there are four points: not distinguishing between benefits and harms, acting for the benefit of others without discrimination, gradually appearing according to fortune, and the metaphor being even more superior. Among them, the way of not distinguishing between benefits and harms is: for example, the sun's rays are very hot, and at the same time, lotuses bloom and water lilies close, but the sun does not think, "I want to make the lotuses bloom," nor does it think, "I want to make the water lilies close." The sun's operation does not distinguish between the advantages of lotuses and the disadvantages of water lilies. Similarly, the great perfect Buddha, also illuminates with the light of the true Dharma, at the same time, makes the wisdom lotuses of those who should be tamed bloom, and makes the water lilies of the minds of those who have not been tamed close, the Buddha does not distinguish between their benefits and harms, but shines universally. This is the meaning (of the above scripture). There are three kinds of altruistic actions, among which the act of benefiting others without discrimination is: for example, the sun's operation does not discriminate, but its infinite rays shine at the same time, making the lotuses open and bloom, and making other abundant crops mature. Similarly, the Tathagata, the perfect Buddha, also illuminates with the infinite light of the true Dharma at the same time, making the lotuses of those who should be tamed open, and making the crops of good deeds mature, but does not discriminate against these, but is naturally accomplished. This is the meaning (of the above scripture). The act of benefiting others by shining light is: for example, the sun's rays shine in the sky, dispelling the darkness of the world. Similarly, for one's own benefit, the ultimate truth of Dharma
