And immeasurable lands. The main palace, the victorious hall, is made of four kinds of precious jewels, with four levels of stairs, pillars made of gold, silver, beryl, and crystal, pillar bases, pillar caps, and measures made of conch shells, etc., with one hundred and one eaves, each eave adorned with seven-story buildings, etc. Apart from that heavenly palace, there is also a beautiful city, surrounded on all sides by golden nets, the walls made of gold, silver, and beryl, with four exquisite gate towers, the total number of gates lacking one to reach a thousand, all the gates adorned with countless jewels, each gate guarded by five hundred weapon-wielding guards. All the roads and alleys are covered with golden sand, etc. The palace of the Lord of the Gods has various sights such as the arrival of the Wheel-Turning King. In addition, there are the multi-storied houses of the gods, made of various jewels, the eaves, pavilions, balconies, and latticed windows all exquisitely decorated. Delightful gardens where the gods play and enjoy pleasures, and wish-fulfilling trees such as the Yongdu, providing food, drink, clothing, ornaments, flowers, and music, everything desired. Ponds filled with water possessing eight qualities, lakes adorned with flowers and various birds, all the roads and alleys filled with beautiful goddesses playing various kinds of music, all the lands covered with Mandarava flowers, etc. In the human world, everyone clearly saw the images of the gods enjoying various divine objects. Thus it is said. This is the method of engaging in virtuous deeds: From then on, all beings of Jambudvipa, men and women, all the people living on the earth, saw the sight of the boundless wealth of the Thirty-Three Heavens, and with joy, they longed for it, thinking: We too, in the near future, shall become the Lord of the Gods, possessing perfect enjoyment.

To quickly obtain such blessings of Indra, one should make such prayers and supplicate in many ways. In order to obtain the exalted state of Indra, one should properly undertake even a small amount of virtuous deeds such as upholding moral discipline. Thus it is said. The way to obtain the desired position through karma is as follows: Men and women, by properly practicing white virtuous deeds such as upholding moral discipline, the Indra and others that are seen are merely the appearance of images, and not the actual arrival of gods and other entities. Thus it is said. Although one does not truly understand this, by clinging to the essence of the image and practicing virtue, one will die in the human body on earth and be reborn as the deity one desires. Thus it is said. The way to accomplish things without effort is as follows: The appearance of Indra and others on the surface of lapis lazuli is not with the intention of leading the people of Jambudvipa to virtue, nor is it produced by effort. Although this is the case, those who dwell in the human realm on earth directly engage in virtue and indirectly move towards the desired state, therefore it has great significance and is close at hand. Thus it is said. There are also four aspects to the meaning, among which the way the form body appears to a pure mind is as follows: Just as in that example, by making faith and diligence and so on not contradict disbelief and so on, one makes them pure. Due to gradually accumulating the qualities of faith, diligence, mindfulness, and so on, the form body of the fully enlightened Buddha, adorned with the thirty-two major marks and endowed with the eighty minor marks, will also appear in one's mind and in between. Sometimes the body walks, sometimes it stands in the same way, sometimes it sits on a seat, sometimes it lies down to sleep, and furthermore, it has various actions such as walking, and shows peaceful nirvana for the sake of taming beings.

Sometimes he teaches the Dharma, and sometimes he does not teach it, but abides in the correct samadhi within, and performs various kinds of miraculous transformations, and with the mandala of light and other limitless manifestations, sentient beings with fortune will be able to see. So it is said. Secondly, the way to achieve the desired state is: when one's own mind is pure, seeing the manifested form body, with the desire to attain Buddhahood, in order to quickly attain Buddhahood, one should diligently engage in listening and other virtuous deeds. Thus, in order to accomplish Buddhahood, one should truly take up the cause of generating the mind of enlightenment, and the practice of accomplishing the six perfections, etc., and through gradual familiarization, one will be able to obtain the fruit of perfect fulfillment, such as Buddhahood. So it is said. The reason why things can be accomplished without effort is: the Buddha who appears in the pure mind has no discriminating thoughts of motivation such as "I should accomplish such and such benefits for sentient beings," and is never moved by effort. Even so, seeing the form of the Buddha can directly connect the beings to be tamed in the world with great roots of virtue, and indirectly connect them with omniscience, so it abides constantly because it possesses great benefits. So it is said. The way to gradually attain the ultimate Dharmakaya is: this manifestation of limitless form bodies is merely an image of the true Buddha appearing when one's own mind is pure, and is not the ultimate Buddha. Although this is not truly understood by young ordinary people, even so, just seeing the form body of the Buddha can bring great benefits to the beings to be tamed who see it. Because, through gradually seeing the form body, in order to attain Buddhahood, one abides in this profound Dharma of the Great Vehicle and practices the path.
