And also the manifestations. The example of the sun refers to relying on the activity of the mind, which is wisdom, to spread the light of the sacred Dharma. The example of the jewel refers to the secret of the mind that, although without conceptualization, fulfills desires and needs. The example of sound and image refers to the secret of speech that, although without letters, proclaims good teachings. The example of the sky refers to the secret of the body that, although without form, can be seen by those to be tamed. The example of the earth refers to the nature of great compassion, which is the basis of all qualities, and shows that it accomplishes the needs of all sentient beings. This is what is said. Explaining the meaning in three parts: The perfectly complete Buddhas enter into accomplishing the benefit of others by completely pacifying the stream of effort with a target, because all conceptualizations have been extinguished and abandoned, and great compassion, which is naturally luminous, has reached ultimate perfection. For example, in the human world, on a flawless ground of lapis lazuli, the image of the lord of the gods, Indra, appears, and so on, even without effort, it accomplishes activities. Among them, the so-called "the stream of effort with a target is completely pacified" refers to declaring the meaning of the proposition; the so-called "because the mind without conceptualization has reached ultimate perfection" refers to the reason for establishing it. In this way, even without any effort, the benefit of others is naturally accomplished, and in order to make this nature of meaning realized in the minds of those to be tamed, the examples are the image of Indra and the sound of the great drum, and so on, as mentioned before. This is what is said. Regarding the reason for no effort in a specific situation: In this case, the occasion of the Buddha's activity, the specific meaning to be expressed by these examples is: through the nine meanings of showing miracles and proclaiming instructions, etc., as mentioned before, it shows that the perfect and complete Buddhas are free from conditioned phenomena such as birth and death, without conceptualization, and also

Even without the thought or effort of "I will do this," it teaches how to thoroughly engage sentient beings in a way that accomplishes their activities. That is the meaning. In terms of representation, there are two types. Showing the difference in examples: The example that closely represents the Buddha's activities, which are spontaneously accomplished and continuous, is like Indra not moving from his own place, yet his image appears on the ground, benefiting people; like a great drum teaching the four seals of Dharma without effort; like clouds covering the sky causing crops to ripen; like Brahma not moving from the form realm, yet showing emanations in the desire realm, benefiting the gods; like the sun without conceptualization, yet radiating infinite rays, dispelling darkness; like the supreme wish-fulfilling jewel, even without the king's conceptualization, it grants all needs and desires; like echoes from rocks and so on, which appear in various ways although not truly established; like space, which has no form yet pervades everything; like the earth, which supports everything without thought or effort. Like this, as long as this endless cycle of existence remains, the way of accomplishing the benefit of others continuously and effortlessly through spontaneous accomplishment is understood by supreme yogis, but is inconceivable to ordinary people. That is the meaning. Explaining in connection with the meaning: The Buddhas who have attained complete enlightenment perform the benefit of others. For example, in the human world, on a ground made of precious lapis lazuli, just as the image of Indra, the lord of the gods, appears, without moving from the Dharmakaya, they show limitless manifestations of the form body to fortunate sentient beings to be tamed. The appearance of the body, and similarly, for the sake of those who have not attained Samadhi to attain Samadhi, and for those who have attained Samadhi to be liberated, the way of teaching the instructions and subsequent teachings of speech in an excellent manner is like the great drum of the gods teaching the four seals of Dharma.

The Buddhas, whose nature encompasses all knowable things, possess the wisdom that knows all things as they are and how they are, and with great compassion that wishes to liberate beings from the suffering of samsara, like clouds that pervade everything, they also pervade the endless beings to be tamed, even up to the peak of existence. Just as Brahma manifests in the desire realm without moving from the form realm, they do not move even slightly from the realm of undefiled Dharma, yet in accordance with their own aspirations, they manifest various different forms and speech emanations. And just as the sun radiates light, they rely on wisdom to extensively spread the infinite light of the sacred Dharma. Like a wish-fulfilling jewel that is stainless and perfectly pure, although without conceptual thought, it grants all needs and desires, possessing the inconceivable secret of the mind. The secret of the speech of the complete Buddhas is also like echoes in valleys and other places, although various sounds can be heard, they have no inherent nature of speech. The secret of the body is like space, pervading everything, and although various shapes and forms appear, it has no inherent form and is constant. Just as the earth serves as the basis for the growth of crops and other things, it causes all white virtuous crops and medicines to increase, stabilize, and expand without exception in the minds of countless beings to be tamed, serving as the basis or support for all forms. This is the attainment of the state of all Buddhas who possess great compassion that is completely perfect. Thus, it has nine meanings. Again, summarizing and explaining in detail, there are two aspects: the appearance of birth and death in the form body, while the Dharma body has no birth and death; and although they appear the same because of the similarity of Dharma, they are superior because of the differences. The appearance, yet without birth and death, is divided into two parts. The example of the senses illustrates the absence of birth and death: The Buddha, the Bhagavan
