Being the opposite of non-peaceful, the opposite of permanent is impermanent, and the opposite of immutability is change, because these exist. What are the four? They are aging, where conditioned things fully ripen and decay; sickness, where the elements change and cause suffering; birth, where the previous existence ceases and the next arises; and death, which is inconceivable and changes in various ways. For liberation and the Dharmakaya, these four destructions do not exist. Therefore, one should know that in sequence, because there is no aging, it is stable; because there is no sickness, it is peaceful; because there is no birth, it is permanent; and because there is no death, it is immutable. So it is said. Particularly explaining the perfection of benefiting others, these uncontaminated abandonments and directly realized wisdom are the support or basis for the arising of white Dharma qualities and excellent virtues in the minds of those who are compatible with the disciples to be trained. Therefore, it is also the place of perfect benefit for others. For example, just as space, which is not the cause of arising and has no characteristics such as form, is the cause for the eye sense to see form, and for sound, smell, taste, touch, and Dharma, respectively, to be heard by the ear, to smell fragrance by the nose, to taste flavor by the tongue, to touch by the body, and to be understood by the mind, through the gate of enlightenment. Similarly, in the same way, seeing the two bodies of the Buddha becomes unobstructed, and by practicing the path of familiarity, the sons of the victorious ones who are stable and endowed with good fortune, their six senses become the most excellent objects of experience. In the relative truth, because of seeing the Rupakaya and so on, it becomes the cause for the arising of flawless qualities such as the marks and signs. In the ultimate truth, because of seeing the Dharmakaya and so on, it becomes the cause for the direct arising of limitless flawless qualities such as powers and fearlessness. So it is said. The meaning of its basis being endowed with qualities has two aspects: a brief indication of the differences in names and a broad

This is a detailed explanation of the qualities. In brief, it is: Unthinkable such as hearing, constant because unborn, stable because without aging, peaceful because without sickness, ever-new because without death, extremely peaceful because without suffering, all-encompassing because knowing all that exists, free from conceptualization because knowing how it exists, without accumulation like the sky because abandoning the obscuration of afflictions, unimpeded at all times and places because abandoning the obscuration of knowable things, abandoning coarse touch because abandoning the obscuration of meditative absorption, invisible because free from form, ungraspable because free from characteristics, good because naturally pure, and stainless because free from adventitious stains. Possessing fifteen kinds of ultimate qualities, that is the Buddha who has attained great enlightenment. That is the content. The detailed explanation is divided into two parts: how those qualities are possessed by whom, and the qualities that must be ascertained as possessed. Among them, the way of possessing is: the nature of abandonment and realization, the body of liberation and the Dharmakaya, both of which show the perfect accomplishment of one's own benefit and the benefit of others. Being completely liberated from all bonds to be abandoned accomplishes one's own benefit; relying on the activity of the qualities of the Dharmakaya of realization accomplishes the benefit of others. Therefore, as the basis for accomplishing both one's own benefit and the benefit of others, one should know that those two bodies possess the fifteen qualities of Dharma, beginning with the unthinkable. That is the content. Ascertaining the qualities possessed is divided into two parts: a detailed explanation of the profound reasons, and an explanation of the reasons for the others. The profound is divided into three parts, first is a general presentation of the way of being unthinkable: the Dharmakaya is complete, it is the object of only the omniscient wisdom. The ultimate Buddha is not the object of the three wisdoms arising from hearing, etc., therefore, the ultimate wisdom body is not able to be truly

One should realize the qualities that are not pervaded by everything. That is the meaning. The detailed explanation is as follows: How is it that the three wisdoms are not the object of practice? The Buddha of ultimate reality is extremely subtle and difficult to realize, therefore it is not the object of practice of the wisdom arising from hearing. Similarly, since the ultimate truth is to be realized by the wisdom of self-awareness, it is not the object of practice of the wisdom arising from thinking. Since the Dharma-nature Suchness is profound and difficult to fathom, and is ultimate, it is not the object of practice of all consciousnesses such as the wisdom arising from worldly meditation. That is the meaning. Combining the reason with the example is: What is the reason why the Buddha is so difficult for ordinary people to realize? Just as the blind have never seen various forms of color and shape, all ordinary people have never directly seen the stainless Suchness. Just as a newborn child living in a room can see a little of the sun's rays but cannot see it completely, so too, the noble Bodhisattva dwelling on the tenth ground can directly see the Dharma-body a little, but cannot see it completely. That is the meaning. There are three reasons for the latter, among which the unchanging qualities are: The stainless Buddha is free from arising from causes and conditions from the very beginning, therefore it possesses the quality of being verifiable. For that which has no birth, there is no cessation, therefore it possesses the quality of being stable. There is nothing that cannot be pacified by birth and cessation, therefore the Buddha possesses the quality of being pacified. Therefore, it possesses the quality of being non-regressive, because the Dharma-nature, the self-nature of Nirvana, has been abiding and unchanging from the very beginning. That is the meaning. The qualities of abandonment and realization are: The Buddha abandons all suffering
