The Victorious One who is liberated from sudden defilements is like that, combined in the same way. Like honey separated from bees, like the essence of grain produced from chaff, like precious good gold separated from unclean mud, like a great treasure of jewels extracted from underground, like a tree that grows from a seed and is endowed with fruit, like the body of the Sugata made of jewels, free from rotten clothes and without stains, similarly, like a Chakravartin, the lord of the earth, born from the womb, like a golden image separated from black mud, being completely liberated from all defilements is the perfectly enlightened Buddha who has gained victory over unfavorable aspects. Thus it is said. The extensive explanation is divided into three parts. The way in which the two bodies arise from wisdom is: The nature of the Dharmadhatu is naturally pure, just as a pool of water is purified by clarity, and the word "etc." indicates that the moon is liberated from Rahu, and the sun is liberated from clouds, just as attachment arises towards pleasant things, and the word "etc." indicates hatred towards unpleasant things, and ignorance towards intermediate things, that is, from sudden defilements, that is, even from the three poisons of afflictions, one is purified and abandoned, possessing perfect qualities, and obtaining the body of liberation, although there are many causes, but in summary, it is the cultivation of Samadhi that transcends the world, the wisdom of complete non-conceptualization, by which the fruit of being free from the obscurations of afflictions manifests, and this should be thoroughly proclaimed. Similarly, the basis of the qualities of perfect realization, emptiness and luminosity, is the Buddha body that possesses all supreme qualities, and in accordance with one's fortune, each individual will definitely obtain it in the realm of self-awareness wisdom, which is the worldly wisdom obtained from subsequent attainment. By practicing hearing and so on about the profound and vast Dharma, the fruit of being free from the obscurations of knowledge manifests, and this has also been explained. Thus it is said. The way in which the two benefits are accomplished by abandoning the three poisons is: In one's own continuum, the mind of desire that arises following the three realms is troubled.

Those things that are like dust are for the sake of completely clearing away; in order to teach the Dharma to many other trainees with dispositions like lotus flowers, causing the water of meditative concentration to flow, and moistening them with calm abiding and insight; in order to perfect the two benefits, that Buddha is like a pleasant pond filled with pure water and covered with many lotuses. Similarly, apply this analogy: From one's own continuum, being liberated from the afflictions of unpleasantness, constant mental torment, hatred, and the vicious obstacles like Rahu, generating great compassion that wishes others' continuums to be free from suffering, and great loving-kindness that wishes others to encounter benefit, like rays of light, with these rays completely pervading all trainees, thereby taking them under one's care, for this purpose, the Buddha who has perfected the two benefits is like the stainless, full moon that has been liberated from Rahu. From one's own continuum, being liberated from the obscurations of the three realms' ignorance, like dense masses of clouds, in order to teach the Dharma to extremely numerous trainees in accordance with their dispositions, thereby dispelling all the darkness of ignorance with rays of wisdom, for this purpose, the Buddha who has perfected the two benefits is like the stainless and radiant sun that has been liberated from the clouds. This is what was said. The way to obtain the essence through purity is: Because one possesses qualities and virtues that cannot be compared to anything else and are equal only to the Buddhas, and in order to bestow the essence of the profound and excellent Dharma upon the trainees, and because one is free from the husks of the two obscurations, including their habitual tendencies, therefore the perfected Buddha is successively like the Thus-Gone One who emerges from the lotus, honey that is free from bees, and the essence of grain that arises from the husk. Similarly, apply this analogy: Because one is naturally stainless and also completely pure from adventitious faults, and the treasure of virtues is inexhaustible.
