From the extreme distance, through the pure path, all defilements are completely removed and abandoned, and one is endowed with all the qualities and powers of the Buddha, without any separation. Having liberated from birth, aging, and death, the Buddha, who is constant, stable, and of a clear nature, attains this state, which is the meaning of the nature of possessing two purities. Such Bodhi is attained by Bodhisattvas in meditative equipoise, focusing on the meaning of suchness of Dharma, and gaining non-conceptual wisdom. In subsequent attainment, they focus on the meaning of all phenomena as they are, and gain the wisdom of skillful discernment. By relying on these two and practicing the path, they gradually attain it, which is the meaning of the cause. Thus it is said. The extensive explanation has two parts: the meaning of the nature of possessing two purities, and the meaning of the cause of the wisdom that attains it. The meaning of the nature has two parts: the main text, and the distinctions. Among them, the main text is: The Buddha of ultimate truth, from the nature of self-nature purity, abides without any separation, and is ultimately free from temporary defilements, and is well distinguished by possessing the two purities. This is also like the sun's self-nature being bright, and the sky's self-nature being pure. With the realization of the light of wisdom and the complete purification of the two obscurations, that is, possessing the nature of complete abandonment and realization. Thus it is said. There are two distinctions, among which the distinction of self-nature luminosity is: The uncontaminated realm, the Dharmakaya of self-nature luminosity, is not created by causes and conditions, and also exists without separation in the self-nature of all sentient beings. This is also like the sands of the Ganges River, surpassing and possessing immeasurable Buddha qualities, powers, and all dharmas, spontaneously accomplished from the beginning. Thus it is said. The distinction of temporary freedom from defilements is: The nature of defilements, etc., is not truly established from the beginning, and pervades all impure states, and is temporary because it can be abandoned.

This is because these three reasons can remove the obstacles to liberation, the afflictive obscurations and the obstacles to omniscience, the cognitive obscurations. These two are said to obscure the naturally luminous nature in the state of sentient beings, just as clouds obscure the sun and the sky. By abandoning these obscurations, one attains the state of being endowed with two purities. This is (the scripture). The meaning of the cause of obtaining wisdom is: By being free from the two obscurations of afflictions and knowledge, the cause of manifesting the fruit of liberation and the Dharmakaya is the cultivation of the union of the two wisdoms that realize suchness and the extent of things. That is, Bodhisattvas, in their meditative equipoise, cultivate the non-conceptual wisdom that is the antidote to the three realms, primarily purifying the afflictive obscurations. Then, in the post-meditation state, they cultivate the wisdom that discerns the meaning of the extent of things, such as depth and vastness, primarily purifying the cognitive obscurations. Therefore, these are considered to be the two wisdoms, and one should strive to practice the path related to them. This is (the scripture). The meaning of the stainless fruit has two aspects: a brief explanation using stainless examples, and a detailed explanation of the reasons. Among them, the brief explanation is: For example, a beautiful lake without the stain of turbidity, filled with abundant water, gradually growing, and covered with lotus flowers, is like being liberated from the affliction of desire; and like the full moon, completely full, freed from the mouth of Rahu, is like being liberated from the affliction of hatred; and like the radiant sun, freed from the affliction of ignorance, which is like a dense cloud, because of the reason, it is like the radiant sun, without sudden stains, endowed with the ultimate qualities of complete abandonment and realization, therefore, seeing the light of suchness and the extent of things, that is the complete Buddha. This is (the scripture). And also, like the supreme king of birds, freed from the lotus calyx, is like the body of the Buddha.
