This is the connection of the boundaries of what is to be eliminated. As the connection shows, it is shown by metaphors, there is a connection of the common Dharma of the thusness with defilements, and a connection of the respective Dharmas of defilements and essence. In the common Dharma, there is a brief indication of the reason why the realm pervades sentient beings, a detailed explanation of its metaphorical meaning, and a summary showing the reason for being without beginning. The brief indication is: The body of the Tathagata is adorned with excellent marks and signs, just as it exists in lotuses whose color is ugly and whose petals are closed, sentient beings obscured by sudden defilements and afflictions, the Dharma realm is naturally pure, and the essence of the Tathagata abides therein. Such a connection, like honey, is full of delicious essence, existing in the midst of being surrounded by many bees; in the midst of husks and chaff, the essence of grains such as salu exists undamaged; in a large pit of impure mud, a good and unchanging gold nugget exists; under the cover of many soils, an inexhaustible treasure of precious jewels exists; the ability of seedlings and the like to grow gradually exists in small fruit seeds and skins; in the midst of being wrapped in dirty and tattered cloths, there exists a statue of a king made of precious jewels; likewise, in the womb or uterus of an ugly woman's appearance and dress, there exists the lord of men, the wheel-turning king; in the black mud at the time of pouring, there exists an image made of precious gold, just as sentient beings obscured by sudden afflictions and defilements, so the realm or realm of the Buddha is naturally pure, and the essence of the Tathagata will surely abide. So it is said. What is said in connection is: What is attained by natural purity is the sudden defilement of afflictions, such as lotuses and living bees and chaff wrapped in husks, and impure mud, and piles of soil, and fruit peels, and tattered cloths, and the suffering of those without protectors, etc.

English

The evil woman who is obviously suffering from being burned by afflictions is similar to the nature of black mud. The body of the Buddha and honey, the essence of grains, gold ore, a treasure of jewels, trees such as the Nyagrodha, a body image made of jewels, the supreme Chakravartin who is the lord of the four continents, images of precious gold, and the supreme nature that is stainless and completely pure, are the same as the Tathagatagarbha. That is the meaning. There are nine aspects to the detailed explanation of its exemplary meaning: a bad lotus represents the Buddha, a bee represents honey, chaff represents essence, impure things represent gold ore, the earth represents a great treasure, bark represents sprouts, tattered clothes represent a body image, a woman represents a king, and mud represents a golden image, thus explaining that sentient beings have the mode of existence of the Dharmadhatu. It explains in detail how to purify the defilements of the essence of all things, and it should be refined and clarified again. The former is an example that symbolizes, and the latter is the meaning that is symbolized. Among them, the example of a bad lotus representing the Buddha, thus explaining that sentient beings have the mode of existence of the Dharmadhatu, is: Just as inside, enveloped by the petals of a lotus with a bad color, there exists the body of the Tathagata, blazing and radiant with countless marks and signs of glory, which the stainless possessor of the divine eye can clearly see, and in order to show it to others, the Buddha's body is taken out from the bud of the lotus petals. That is the meaning. The meaning it symbolizes is: Similarly, the Dharmakaya of the Sugata, which is pure in its own nature, is even pervasive among sentient beings dwelling in the Avici hell. The Buddha, with the eye of wisdom, sees the Dharmata of all things, oneself and others, that is, the existence of the Tathagatagarbha, and is extremely unobstructed, existing equally until the end of samsara. Those who possess great compassion, wishing to benefit sentient beings, also teach the Dharma to others.

In order to clearly show the Dharmadhatu, from the stains of adventitious obscurations, those who are to be tamed are gradually liberated. So it is said. Again, it is said: Just as the lotus flower with an unpleasant color, when the bud is closed, has the body of the Sugata adorned with marks and signs residing within the lotus, those with the clairvoyance of the divine eye see that body and, in order to make the body clear, they certainly cut and remove the sheath of the petals that are the cause of manifestation, similarly, seeing that the essence of the fully enlightened Buddha, the Dharmadhatu, which is obscured by the infinite sheaths of adventitious stains such as afflictions, desire, and hatred, exists in all beings, with immeasurable compassion, the powerful one, like removing the lotus petals that are the cause of the manifestation of the body, engages in activities in order to certainly destroy the afflictions, the adventitious stains that are the obscurations of sentient beings. So it is said. Just as honey is to bees, so is the way the Dharmadhatu abides in sentient beings. For example, just as a person who is skilled at examining honey and cherishes it, sees that the honey, which is surrounded and protected by a multitude of living bees, is rich in the essence of honey, and by various methods such as fumigation, completely separates the honey from the multitude of living bees, and thus obtains the honey. So it is said. Its meaning is: The great sage, the fully enlightened Buddha, with the Buddha's eye directly knowing all aspects of knowledge, sees that the Tathagatagarbha, the wisdom to be known by each individual, is like honey pervading everything, and thus shows the path to completely abandon the stains of adventitious obscurations that obscure that realm, like bees, together with their seeds, and makes the Dharmakaya manifest. So it is said. Again, it is said
