Because it is thus permanent, because it is firm, because it is peaceful, because it is eternal. This is its meaning. To explain by combining: The Tathagatagarbha is initially also the unborn essence with the body of the nature of mind, because it does not change and is permanent. Likewise, finally, with the inconceivable complete transformation of birth and death, that realm is also the immortal essence, because it does not deceive and is firm. In between, even the subtle obscurations of ignorance's habitual patterns and diseases are harmless, because it is peaceful towards dualistic grasping and so on. Even those who manifestly accumulate actions free from outflows are ageless, because it is indestructible and eternal. Thus, if there is no change even with birth and so on by the body of the nature of mind, then what need is there to mention that there is no change with ordinary birth and so on? This is its meaning. The meaning is summarized and connected: With the reasons of permanence and so on, establishing unbornness and so on, for that, each verse such as "Not changing to other, it is self" is a detailed explanation of the brief instruction. The two verses such as "Inexhaustible", and similarly the two verses such as "End", and the two verses such as "Various", and the two verses such as "Unconditioned", in the order as they are, the unconditioned realm of dharma free from outflows, which is not manifestly accumulated by causes and conditions, the Tathagatagarbha, for the meaning of permanence, and so on, that is, the meaning of firmness, the meaning of peace, and the meaning of eternity, should be known as it is said in the sutra. This is its meaning. The reason for establishing it as permanent and so on is: That Dharmakaya, which is the manifest purity of the realm's own nature, is also in the realm of nirvana without remainder, because it possesses inexhaustible and limitless qualities, and because it is never of a nature that changes to other, it possesses the meaning of permanence, and because it is continuous and follows and holds like the limit of samsara, it never deceives.

It has the meaning of the stable self-nature of refuge, and because it is the self-nature of non-discrimination of the two extremes, it has the meaning of the peaceful Dharma-nature that is peaceful in both existence and peace, and because it has the qualities of being uncreated by causes and conditions and being unconditioned, it has the meaning of being eternally indestructible, which is the meaning of eternity. That is its meaning. Regarding the meaning of the non-differentiation of qualities, it is briefly indicated from the perspective of name and meaning, and the nature of these is explained in detail. Among them, the brief indication is: Because the अवस्था (Sanskrit, avasthā, state) of the Tathagatagarbha, which is extremely pure, is itself the Dharmakaya of all Buddhas, similarly, it is also the Tathagata, it is also the Noble Truth, and it is also the Ultimate Nirvana, therefore, they are merely different names. For example, just as the sun's disc and rays are inseparable, the ultimate qualities such as the ten powers are non-differentiated, therefore, there is no other Nirvana nature other than the Complete Perfect Enlightenment. That is its meaning. The detailed explanation is divided into three parts: detailed explanation of the different names, detailed explanation of the nature of the meaning, and determination of these by analogy. Among the different names, the way in which four names are spoken by the power of four meanings, and these are explained in conjunction with the meaning. Among them, the way of speaking four names is: In short, for the undefiled Dharmadhatu Tathagatagarbha, it corresponds to the four types of categories of different parts of the meaning of explaining the Buddha's non-different Dharma, etc., therefore, it should be understood as the four different names of Dharmakaya, etc., which have just been spoken. That is its meaning. Combining with meaning means: The Dharmadhatu itself, which is pure in nature, is called Dharmakaya from the perspective of corresponding to the meaning of being non-differentiated from the ultimate qualities such as the Buddha's ten powers, and from the meaning of obtaining the Dharma-nature that exists from the beginning of the Tathagata's lineage as it is manifested,
