Due to having great faith in the correct belief, thereby following and properly hearing and thinking, this part of the fruit with defilements is all suffering, and these actions and afflictions are all its cause, the arising, and those cycles of cause and effect are all extinguished, this is said to be the extinction of Nirvana, in order to truly see with the pure wisdom that understands the path of selflessness. Thus it is said. How to practice acceptance and rejection according to what is known? For example, those wise people who want to be free from the suffering of disease and obtain the happiness of being without disease, after knowing the nature of the disease, should abandon the causes that produce the disease, such as unsuitable food, and abiding in the happiness of being without disease is what should be obtained, and the method is to rely on good medicine. Similarly, those who are wise and want to be free from the suffering of samsara and obtain the happiness of Nirvana should also fully understand that all of samsara, which is encompassed by the fruit with defilements, is suffering. All of the arising, which is encompassed by its cause, actions and afflictions, should be abandoned, and those extinctions that are free from defilement, and similarly the happiness of Nirvana, should be directly realized and obtained, and the method is to gradually rely on the five uncontaminated paths in the continuum. Thus it is said. There are two ways to determine the principle of manifestation through the example of Brahma: the way of showing appearance to those with good fortune, and the way of not showing appearance to those without good fortune. There are three ways to show appearance, among which the similarity of not making effort is: For example, the great Brahma, the god of the form realm, does not move from the palace of the first dhyana in the Brahma realm itself, and if he wishes, he will effortlessly show the manifestation of transformation in all six places of the gods who practice in the desire realm. Similarly, the meaning is also the same, the Buddhas, the complete and perfect Buddhas, also never move from the ultimate Dharmakaya, and effortlessly show to all sentient beings to be tamed who have the fortune in the boundless realms of the world.

Without error and spontaneously accomplished, with the emanation of the form body of conventional truth, various miraculous displays are shown to tame and subdue beings according to their needs. So it is said. Showing the similarity by eliminating faults is: Just as the great Brahma deity constantly dwells in his own palace without moving, yet with an emanation body pervades all the abodes of the gods of the desire realm. Those six classes of gods who indulge in sensual pleasures all see him, and because of seeing the prosperity of the gods of the form realm, many gods of the desire realm, in order to attain the state of Brahma, abandon their attachment to desirable qualities such as beautiful forms, melodious sounds, fragrant smells, sweet tastes, and soft touches. Similarly, the Sugatas, the perfectly enlightened Buddhas, also abide in the Dharmakaya without ever moving, yet with an emanation body show limitless miracles in all realms of the world, which are seen by those fortunate disciples. And because of seeing the various miracles of the form body, many fortunate disciples, in order to attain the perfection of Buddhahood, constantly strive to purify all defilements, including habitual tendencies, of the two obscurations. So it is said. Showing the similarity by depending on those with karma is: In the past, for the benefit of the gods, the power of Brahma's own aspiration, and the power of the shared merit accumulated by the gods who indulge in sensual pleasures seeing Brahma, how is it that Brahma shows appearance in the desire realm without effort? Similarly, the emanation body of the self-born, perfectly enlightened Buddha also, due to the Buddha's past aspirations and the power of the disciples' merit, from the Dharmakaya, without effort, shows various miracles in the world. So it is said. Showing the reason why those without karma cannot see is: When the Buddhas are ready to tame beings, they descend from the Tushita heaven to Jambudvipa.

And, entering the womb of mothers like the Great Illusionary Mother, being born in places like the Lumbini Garden, going to places like the great city of Kapilavastu, the capital of the father king, enjoying and playing with eighty thousand consorts and other retinues, renouncing the household life and practicing austerities in extremely secluded places, going to the Bodhi tree and subduing the armies of demons, relying on the Vajra-like Samadhi and attaining the state of Great Enlightenment, showing the Dharma wheel that guides sentient beings to enter the city of peace and Nirvana, after perfectly and completely revealing these and other aspects, temporarily observing that the affairs of those who are capable have been completed, the Buddhas, the Lords of Sages, show the aspect of Nirvana, and no longer appear in the sight of sentient beings who have no chance to see the Buddha. This is what is said. There are four things to be determined by the example of the sun spreading wisdom: the way of not distinguishing between benefit and harm, the way of benefiting others without discrimination, the way of gradually appearing according to the capacity, and the way in which the example is even more superior. Among them, the way of not distinguishing is: for example, the rays of the sun, when it is extremely hot and scorching, lotus flowers bloom, and water lilies close. The sun thinks, "I will make the lotus flowers bloom," or thinks, "I will make the water lilies close." The sun shines without any discrimination on the merits of opening and the faults of closing. Similarly, here, the sun of the Great Perfect Complete Enlightenment also, in the same way, when the light of the sacred Dharma scorches, the lotus of the wisdom of the beings to be tamed blooms, and the water lily of the minds of those who are not to be tamed closes. The Buddha has no discrimination about the benefits and harms of these, and shines on everything.
