Then, why is it said that the Buddha is difficult for ordinary people to understand? Just as the blind have never seen various things such as colors and shapes, all ignorant ordinary beings have never directly seen the stainless Suchness. And just as a newborn baby living at home, even if it can slightly see the rays of the sun, cannot see it completely, so too, although a Bodhisattva on the tenth bhumi can slightly directly see the Dharmakaya, they cannot see it completely. That is the reason. The above is a quote. There are three aspects to the later reasons. Regarding the unchanging qualities: the stainless Buddha is from the beginning free from arising from causes and conditions, therefore possessing the quality of investigation. For that which has no arising, there is no cessation, therefore possessing the quality of stability. Since arising and cessation cannot pacify it, the Buddha possesses the quality of pacification. Therefore, it possesses the quality of permanence, because the Dharmata, the nature of Nirvana, exists from the beginning and is immutable. The above is a quote. Regarding the qualities of abandonment and realization: the Buddha possesses the quality of great bliss, completely pacifying all suffering, because all that should be abandoned has ceased, and the ultimate Truth of Cessation has manifested. Similarly, because all knowable phenomena have been directly realized, it possesses the quality of omniscience, pervading all knowable phenomena. Because it does not abide in any object or characteristic, it possesses the quality of knowing as it is, without conceptualization. These are the differences between bliss and realization. Furthermore, because it has abandoned the obstacles to liberation—the afflictive obscurations together with their habitual tendencies—it possesses the quality of non-attachment to the meaning of reality; because it has completely purified the obstacles to omniscience—all the cognitive obscurations—therefore, for all

Due to possessing unimpeded qualities, and lacking the obscurations of absorption such as sinking and agitation, the body and mind are gentle and easily enter into samadhi. Therefore, it possesses the quality of being free from coarse touch. These are the distinctions of abandonment. Thus it is said. The qualities of purity are: The Buddha of ultimate meaning does not have a form composed of accumulated particles, and because he is completely beyond conditioned phenomena, he cannot be seen by ordinary senses, which itself is possessing power. Similarly, because there are no characteristics such as reasons, and because it is completely pure from the phenomena of consciousness, it possesses the quality of being immeasurable by ordinary minds. It possesses the quality of true goodness, because it possesses the naturally pure nature of the Dharma realm. It possesses the quality of being extremely stainless, because it has completely abandoned all temporary stains, including habitual tendencies, and is completely pure. Thus it is said. There are two meanings of entering through the distinction of the three bodies: briefly stating the characteristics of the names, and explaining their meaning in detail. There are three in the brief statement: The Svabhavikakaya (essence body) possesses five characteristics, namely, it has no three characteristics of compounded things, i.e., no beginning of birth, no middle of abiding, and no end of destruction, and it has the characteristic of being uncompounded; the uncontaminated Dharma realm; all the ultimate wisdoms are integrated into one, possessing the characteristic of being indistinguishable; being liberated from existence and non-existence, possessing the characteristic of not falling into the two extremes of superimposition and denigration; possessing the characteristic of being free from the three obscurations of afflictions, knowledge, and absorption; and what is the naturally pure Dharma realm that has no defilement of afflictions and is not an object of conceptual activity, when realizing that, the yogi who always abides equally in the Dharma nature, the Tathagata directly sees, is the one with the characteristic of luminosity. Similarly, it should be understood that it possesses five qualities, because the essence is vast, it possesses the quality of being immeasurable by reasoning, and the quantity cannot be

Immeasurable, possessing merits exceeding the number of grains of sand in the Ganges River; not an object of speculation, possessing inconceivable merits; not shared with others, being the ultimate, possessing incomparable merits. Possessing the qualities of perfect realization, the manifestation of the Tathagata's utterly stainless Dharmadhatu, having completely abandoned all faults of the two obscurations and their habitual tendencies, thus possessing the qualities of perfect abandonment. This is what is said. The Sambhogakaya also possesses five characteristics. That is, by radiating the light of the profound and vast various sacred Dharmas of the Mahayana, the expression of speech is непрерывно; by the light of the sacred Dharma or the light of the excellent marks and signs, showing various appearances with a body of immeasurable light, непрерывно; for the sake of many superior beings to be tamed, striving to accomplish the meaning of liberation, the activity is непрерывно; acting in this way, just as the wish-fulfilling jewel king fulfills desires, it is spontaneously accomplished without conceptualization or effort; and according to the minds of the beings to be tamed, showing various things such as colors and sizes, but it is not the truth of its own nature, possessing these characteristics. This is what is said. The Nirmanakaya possesses three dharmas, namely, causing ordinary worldly beings who have not entered the path to generate aversion to the three realms, thereby entering the path of peaceful Nirvana; establishing those who have entered the path of liberation in the profound and vast Mahayana, thereby ripening them; establishing those who are ripened by the Mahayana in the pure lands in sequence, thereby revealing liberation, these are all. Thus, being the cause of perfect activity, and the Nirmanakaya, which appears in various forms according to the beings to be tamed, is not only the body of the previous life, but also in the unchanging realm of the Dharmakaya.
