and, the meaning of the wisdom of the cause of attainment. There are two meanings of essence: reality and difference. The reality is: the Buddha of ultimate truth, whose nature is the essence of complete purity, all without distinction, and ultimately free from sudden defilements, is completely distinguished by the Dharma that possesses two purities. Just as the sun is naturally bright and the sky is naturally pure, the realization of the light of wisdom and the abandonment of the two obscurations are completely pure, which are the characteristics of the perfection of abandonment and realization. That's it. There are two differences. The difference of self-nature luminosity is: the Dharmakaya of self-nature luminosity in the uncontaminated realm is not manifested and accumulated by causes and conditions, and it is also the one that enters without distinction in the self-nature of all sentient beings. It also transcends the number of dust particles in the Ganges River, and is naturally endowed with all the qualities, powers, etc. of the immeasurable Buddhas from the beginning. That's it. The difference of sudden freedom from defilement is: the nature of defilements, etc., is not truly established from the beginning, and because it pervades all impure states, it is sudden because it can be eliminated. Because of these three reasons, the obstacle to liberation, the obscuration of afflictions, and the obstacle to omniscience, the obscuration of knowledge, these two are like clouds obscuring the sun and the sky, obscuring the self-nature luminosity in the state of sentient beings. Eliminating these obscurations will result in possessing two purities. That's it. The meaning of the wisdom of the cause of attainment is: being free from the two obscurations of afflictions and knowledge, the cause of attaining the fruit of liberation and manifesting the Dharmakaya is the dual practice of the two wisdoms of suchness and the extent of suchness. That is, Bodhisattvas do not discriminate against the antidotes of the three realms in Samadhi.

The wisdom cultivated thereafter mainly purifies the obscurations of afflictions, and afterwards, by cultivating the wisdom that discerns the meaning of all knowable things such as profundity and vastness, it mainly purifies the obscurations of knowledge. These are considered to be the two wisdoms, and one should strive to practice the path related to them. That is its meaning. The meaning of the fruit that is free from defilements has two aspects: briefly indicating it with stainless examples, and explaining the reasons in detail. The brief indication is as follows: For example, just as a beautiful lake without the defilement of turbidity, endowed with abundant water, gradually growing, and covered with lotus flowers, is beautiful, so too is liberation from the affliction of desire; like the full moon that is completely full and liberated from the mouth of Rahu, is liberation from the affliction of hatred; like the sun's orb, radiant with light, due to the reason of being liberated from the affliction of ignorance, which is like dense clouds, is without sudden defilements, and because it possesses the ultimate qualities of complete abandonment and realization, it is like seeing all things as they are and as many as they are, and possessing the appearance of rays of light, that is the complete Buddha. That is its meaning. Also, just as a bumblebee liberated from the lotus calyx is like the body of the supreme Buddha, it is the Victorious One liberated from sudden defilements. Similarly, apply it: like honey free from bees, like the essence of grain that comes from the husk, like precious pure gold free from impure mud, like a great treasure of jewels dug from the earth, like a tree that grows from a seed and is endowed with fruit, just as it is, and like the Sugata's body made of precious jewels, free from rotten clothes and without defilements, and like the earth lord Chakravartin born from the womb, like a golden image free from black mud, similarly, liberation from all defilements is the complete Buddha who is victorious over unfavorable conditions.

It is like this. There are three in the extensive explanation. The reason for the arising of two bodies from wisdom is: the Dharma realm's self-nature is pure, like a pool of water purified from dirt, and so on, like the moon escaping from Rahu, the sun freed from clouds, attachment to pleasant things, and so on, hatred towards unpleasant things, and ignorance towards the intermediate, that is, from sudden defilements, even from the three poisons of afflictions, it is purified, abandoned, possessing completeness, and attaining the body of liberation. Although there are many causes, in short, it is the cultivation of equanimity, transcending the world, and completely non-discriminating wisdom, thereby freeing oneself from the obscurations of afflictions, and the manifestation of the fruit, which can be declared as such. Similarly, the basis of the qualities of complete realization, emptiness and luminosity, possessing all the supreme Buddha bodies, in accordance with the fortunate ones, each individually attains the object of experience of self-realizing wisdom, which is the worldly wisdom obtained from subsequent attainment. By familiarizing oneself with hearing and so on about the profound and vast Dharma, the manifestation of the fruit of being free from the obscurations of knowledge is also declared as such. It is like this. The reason for accomplishing the two benefits by abandoning the three poisons is: for one's own continuum, after following the three realms, attachment makes the mind afflicted, like dust, all of these are abandoned, and for taming the continuums of many other sentient beings, like lotuses, by teaching the Dharma, the water of Samadhi flows, and by moistening with Shamatha and Vipassana, the Buddha who has perfected the two benefits is like a wish-fulfilling pond filled with clear water and covered with many lotuses. Similarly, it can be compared, for one's own continuum, for unpleasant things, hatred that harms from all aspects, liberation from the obscurations like Rahu, with great compassion wishing other beings to be free from suffering, and great love wishing for benefit and encounter, like rays of light, to tame the beings to be tamed.
