The fault of clinging to what is real and exaggerating, and the fault of holding that the real qualities and the inseparable Dharmadhatu, which pervades everything from the beginning, do not exist, and the fault of slandering, and the fault of not understanding that the nature of oneself and others is equal in the Dharmadhatu, and the fault of increasing attachment to oneself, these five faults, which kind of people have more of, those people must abandon these faults, in order to generate the joy of wanting to attain Bodhi, and the respect for all sentient beings, and the wisdom of realization without confusion, and the wisdom of realizing the existence of self-nature, and the great compassion of knowing that oneself and others are equal, the Tathagatagarbha Dharmata Suchness is said to pervade everything. Thus said. Extensive explanation is divided into two: explaining the intention of explaining emptiness, and showing the benefits of explaining Dharmadhatu in this tantra. Among them, explaining the intention is: If the existence of the Tathagatagarbha is the real ultimate meaning, then in the Sutra of Queen Srimala and other scriptures, all dharmas are emptiness, like clouds, like dreams, like illusions, appearing but without self-nature, what is the intention of what is said? The object without inversion, the ultimate meaning of reality, the unconditioned Dharmadhatu, is far from all mundane conditioned, temporary defilements arising, destroying, and abiding, is emptiness, therefore it is said to be without self-nature. What is emptiness? What are the temporary defilements and conditioned dharmas? The pervasive defilement of greed and other afflictions, and the pervasive defilement of evil and other karmas, and the meaning of the ripening fruits of these, such as the aggregates, the pervasive defilement of arising, these are all. These are also successively explained as the three metaphors of clouds, etc., as they are. Among them, affliction is the temporary nature of sentient beings, like the sky, pervading and obscuring, so it is similar to clouds, and the actions caused by this, the contaminated karma, is inverted.

Because it is born from the mind and is a realm of delusion, it is like the enjoyment of a dream. The ripening of afflictions, karma, and contaminated results, the meaning of aggregates, etc., appears in various ways depending on conditions, but if analyzed, because there is no true self-nature, it is like illusion and emanation, etc. That's what it says. There are three ways to explain the benefits: the way to explain the Dharmadhatu in order to abandon faults; how the five faults to be abandoned arise; and how to quickly obtain benefits by abandoning faults. Among them, the way the Dharmadhatu abides is: in order to gradually guide the beings to be tamed. The first teaching was the turning of the wheel of the four truths. If some people are attached to form, etc., as being true, in order to abandon this attachment, before, when the middle teaching turned the wheel of no characteristics, all dharmas are emptiness, and although they appear, they have no self-nature, like clouds, dreams, and illusions. In this way. After arranging to mainly show the absence of self-nature. Just like that, don't give up diligence, but show the most profound content again, so the last of the guru or the three wheels, because it teaches the ultimately true definitive wheel of Dharma, so it is the last. Because the Dharmadhatu is taught continuously, it is like a lineage. When explaining the ultimate meaning here, the idea of being discouraged in one's own mind, as well as despising others, clinging to defilements, clinging to the absence of Dharmadhatu, and excessive attachment to oneself, these five faults, after abandoning these, in order to obtain the merits of joy, etc., the naturally pure realm, the Tathagatagarbha pervades everything, this is explained very clearly in many ways through metaphors and reasons, etc. That's what it says. The way faults arise is: In this way, the Tathagatagarbha pervades all sentient beings. If this is not taught, it will not be heard. Having not heard in this way, how can someone like me obtain unsurpassed enlightenment? In this way, despising oneself, because of the fault of laziness, the mind feels discouraged and disappointed, for some people.
