The three cushions are the seats for meditation practice. Therefore, I am also a symbol of postponing my departure. After saying these words, all the Han people wept. The Dharma King compassionately agreed to go, and they were all very happy, making an agreement to meet in Lhasa in three months. All the Han people went to Lhasa unnoticed. After that, the Dharma King gathered all the great disciples, brewed tea, and gave each of them stupas and other items, except for the Kalachakra statue made of Chinese gold, and made many prayers. After that, the Dharma King said, "I will go to Lhasa to visit the Jokhang and Ramoche Temples. Translator Lodrö Pal, you will take my place until I come here. Kunpang Chö Drak Pal, Sa Sangpa, Jangtsé Translator, and Mani Kashri, etc., six great disciples, Dönyö Sangpo, etc., twenty monks, Lodrö Dorje, etc., eight novices, come to serve me." Although the disciples pleaded, he did not agree. In the twelfth month of the Monkey year (Tibetan calendar), the Dharma King was invited onto a chariot made of sandalwood. On the way, many great lamas and patrons welcomed him and requested teachings, but he refused, saying, "I am going upwards." After arriving in Lhasa, sounds, light, rainbows, and various kinds of flower rain appeared in the sky, and the Han people were even more happy and devout. The Dharma King offered great offerings to the Jokhang and Ramoche Temples, and prayed with the five most important Han people, "Is it beneficial for the Dharma and sentient beings to go to China, or is it beneficial to stay in Tibet?" A black light like a bowl appeared from the heart of Shakyamuni Buddha and merged into the heart of Avalokiteshvara. A light like an iron vajra radiated from the heart of Avalokiteshvara, spreading throughout the Lhasa temple, and the sound of the Han language was also heard. Great Compassionate Avalokiteshvara, there is no previous connection with China. If you leave, the kings of Tibet will quarrel, the Dharma and precepts will decline, plagues and smallpox will spread, women will vomit blood, children will die young, crops will wither, medicinal herbs will lose their effectiveness, the valleys will be rugged, and famine will spread. And so on, many inauspicious omens appeared, and the Han people were very frightened.

Distressed by suffering, it is said that the Dharma Lord (Chos-rje) could not bear it and was about to leave, and everyone was very happy. Then, the Dharma Lord (Chos-rje) summoned Rinchen-tsul (Rin-tshul-ba), saying, "Come and serve me." Rinchen-tsul (Rin-tshul-ba)'s heart was broken, and he repeatedly begged to stay with tears, but the Dharma Lord (Chos-rje) did not agree, and secretly made a vow to return after a year. After that, before leaving, Rinchen-tsul (Rin-tshul-ba) built a statue of the Dharma Lord (Chos-rje) and requested the Dharma Lord (Chos-rje) to consecrate it, which the Dharma Lord (Chos-rje) agreed to. Then, the Dharma Lord (Chos-rje) said to the disciples, "Let's go to Kongpo (Kông-smad) to meet at the practice place of Orgyen Padmasambhava (O-rgyan Pad-ma)." So, the Dharma Lord (Chos-rje) and the disciples, along with the Chinese, went to Kongpo (Kong-yul) as fellow travelers. It is said that Reting Monastery (Rwa-sgreng) has the Tibetan translation standard. The Dharma Lord (Chos-rje) said, "Let's go there first." So they went north. On the way, many famous lamas and the chieftain of the northern region came to welcome them, but the Dharma Lord (Chos-rje) was worried that they wanted him to return, so he did not agree. The Dharma Lord (Chos-rje) said, "We must go from the southern route of Kongpo (Kông-smad) to the border." At this time, the disciples realized, some cried, some begged to stay, some fainted. The Dharma Lord (Chos-rje) took the Three Jewels as witness and vowed to return after a year. The disciples and the Chinese also vowed to return after a year, and stayed in Damzhung (’Dam-gzhung). At this time, the saying "The Dharma Lord (Chos-rje) has stolen the Buddha statue" was widely spread in Ü-Tsang (Dbus-gtsang). Sekong (Sde-pa Rtse-gnyis) wrote a letter to the king of the northern region, and the king sent troops to pursue them. The Ü-Tsang (Dbus-gtsang) region gathered troops to pursue them. The Dharma Lord (Chos-rje) Rinpoche knew this clearly and said to the disciples, "Chö Drakpal (Chos Grags-dpal) and Sa Sangpa (Sa-bzang-pa), Mani Kashri (Ma-Ni Ka-Shrī), you disciples, we cannot go, the pursuers are close behind." and so on. We were very happy to hear that. The Chinese pulled the cart, but they couldn't even lift it. Elephants, Padma (Glang-po-che Pad-ma), and other strongmen and soldiers pulled with iron chains and gold locks, as well as copper locks and stone locks, and fifty ropes of various kinds, but the ropes were all broken into pieces. Then, some dug the ground, some lifted the feet, some pulled the head, some pressed the back, but they could not move it. The soldiers thought, it would be better for the Dharma Lord (Chos-rje) to carry it himself, so they took turns
