The Ba and others mostly engaged in hearing, thinking, and meditating on the Dzogchen oral transmission. When Jowo Je (Atisha) was in Nyetang (present-day Nyemo Township, Lhasa, Tibet), the Tibetan teachers initially presented some Dharma treatises composed in Tibet, but he was not satisfied with the others. He was pleased with the treatise called "Mahayana Yoga" composed by Aro Yeshe Jungne, saying, "The words are beautiful, the instructions are excellent, and the details of karma are profound and extensive." Machig Labdrön and other Chöd lineages also engaged only in hearing, thinking, and meditating on Dzogchen. Machig heard the chapters of the Do Gyutrul (Illusory Net Tantra) and the Dzogchen Semde (Mind Series) (lower volume, page 768) from Geshe Shyantön of Lhukhar, Lama Yangtsewa, and Kyotön Lama. In particular, the disciple of Kyotön Shakya, Machig's own Ani named Mokhyer Gomshikmo, mainly practiced the complete instructions of the twenty-five wise ones, called "Dzogchen Subduing Afflictions Vow." In her treatises, she also wrote, "Mahamudra transcends thought, recognize the Great Perfection, Primordial Purity." And so on, from which it can be known. Similarly, the listening record of Omniscient Butön Rinpoche, "Wish-Fulfilling Jewel," records that he heard from Lama Tsultrim Palzang the practice cycles of Guru Padmasambhava, Yamantaka Wrathful Assembly, Hayagriva, Vajravarahi, Dakini Life-Force Nyingma, Kaje Wrathful Assembly, Hayagriva, Vajravarahi, Dakini Life-Force Nyingma, and many teachings and treasures. Also, he heard many teachings and treasures such as the Dzogchen Mind Sphere and the Do Gyutrul from his grandfather, and he performed a lot of recitation and practice, generated realization, and replaced his grandfather. And he saw the eight names, with Guru Shakya Senge as the main one, from the lotus stem. He is known as one of the three great Panditas in the Nyingma tradition. He heard all the lineages transmitted from Parong Nup Khulungpa, which Tsokye Gyamtso wrote in the biography, from which it can be known. Thus, all the schools that appeared in the snowy land of Tibet, all the great upholders of these schools practiced it, so the source of all the schools that are famous only in Tibet is none other than the Nyingma school. Moreover, in all the Tripitaka of the Buddha, the outer

Apart from a few minor scriptures and almost all of the Anuttarayoga Tantra section (lower volume, p. 769), most of the Kriya Tantras have already been translated. Although the Vinaya, Abhidharma, and Prajnaparamita commentaries are solely Nyingma, some self-proclaimed scholars say that the Great Secret Nyingma is impure. To this, Panchen Sonam Drakpa said: If there are those who can openly admit that the Nyingma school is not Dharma, then, according to their view, they must admit that the Dharma of the Tripitaka translated by Ka, Chok, and Zhang, as well as the Kriya, Upa, and Yoga Tantras, and everything translated before the arrival of Lotsawa Rinchen Zangpo (958-1055), is not Dharma. In particular, if there are those who can openly admit that the Anuttarayoga Tantra of the Nyingma school is not Dharma, then they must admit that the glorious Guhyasamaja, Zlang Sang Thigle, and Buddha Samayoga are not Dharma. Because these three are the head of the eighteen tantra divisions of the Nyingma tradition, and the great ones of the past said that many Dharma teachings known as Nyingma arose in Tibet based on these three roots. As it is said. Moreover, in the past, the Anuttarayoga Tantras were not widely practiced, so they were not listed in the catalogs, as is clear in the histories. The Omniscient Fifth Dalai Lama said: In the Phangthangma Catalog and the Denkar Catalog, the inner tantras are very secret, so they could not be listed, which is the view of Ga Lotsawa, different from other views in the tantras. (lower volume, p. 770) Furthermore, in the past, teachers such as Padmasambhava and Vimalamitra bestowed empowerments, transmissions, and instructions on the king, his sons, ministers, and subjects, so that many accomplished ones filled the earth. If these teachings are not the tantras and instructions of the Nyingma school, then the Sarma school would not have arisen. The scholar Khedrup Gelek Palzang said: If one thinks so, then in the early propagation period, what were the translated secret mantras? The pandits of the early propagation period (lower volume, B), those who were like the second Buddha, translated with the Buddha's words and hundreds of efforts, which is clearly recorded in the histories, teachings, and catalogs.
