He listened extensively to the Nyingma Gyübum and other teachings. From Nyidrak Choktrul Rinpoche, he received the profound Pure Vision of Gyachen and all the terma teachings of Nyidrak. He also learned a little about black and white astrology. He mainly engaged in the practice of meditation and contemplation, and spent about eleven years in retreat in Stonthot. For the benefit of beings and those to be tamed, he traveled extensively to both the south and the north. Wherever he went, the accumulation of worldly pleasures arose like a great ocean, like drops of water merging into the ocean. Based on this, he also accumulated merit with effort. To commemorate Je Lama Gyurme Thekchok Tenzin, he held a one-day profound path of Bliss-Gone-All-Gathered ritual. In addition, he continuously made tsatsas and carved mani stones every year. He also regularly took hot spring treatments every year. In particular, on the land of the Mani Stone Mound Dponsa Manda (Vol. Lower, 483), Je Rinpoche himself provided food, expenses, and all necessary items for more than twenty stone carvers each year to carve stones every month without interruption. Therefore, he built a blessed Great Mani Stone Mound, mainly containing the six-syllable mantra (oṃ maṇi padme hūṃ, Tibetan: ༀ་མ་ཎི་པདྨེ་ཧཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: ओ मणि पद्मे हूँ, Sanskrit Romanization: oṃ maṇi padme hūṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: Om! Jewel in the Lotus! Hum!), with more than five million mantras in total. In addition, he funded the purchase of printed editions of all translated scriptures from India to Tibet. Although his mind possessed limitless wisdom and qualities free from conceptual elaboration, due to not finding any oral records, notes, or manuscripts, how could one dare to speak carelessly? Even his daily activities were always the same, like a single day, and he was never swayed by anything else. Even the way he ate, the way he mounted and dismounted his horse, and the way he took the reins were all very strict, and most people considered it a peculiar phenomenon, while devotees regarded it as the behavior of an accomplished being. Because he mostly resided in a hidden manner, he did not teach extensively empowerments, transmissions, and teachings, so no dharma lineage was formed. However, he continuously gave two or three practical instructions every year and benefited devotees by giving empowerments, teachings, vase practices, and whatever they desired.

He performed immeasurable deeds of benefiting others. Because he possessed unobstructed direct perception, everyone regarded the teachings of the tutor Rinpoche as the standard (lower volume, 484). Although he served as the abbot for about three years, this Rinpoche was not very comfortable with the old traditions of the previous lamas, so he paid little attention to the newly established practices and offerings. Moreover, due to the large number of profound practices and other reasons, he gave great attention and far-reaching consideration to the monastery's rules and other management aspects. Therefore, he relinquished the responsibilities of the abbot, went to a retreat place, engaged in meditative practices, accepted offerings and prayers from devotees, and provided instructions to those who sought them, fulfilling the wishes of the disciples to be trained. In general, this Rinpoche fulfilled the wishes of the disciples to be trained in two ways. In general, this Rinpoche did not show a particularly outstanding appearance in his observations and views on either of the two ways of acting. As it is said in the Sutra of the Arrayed Tree, "For example, even if a vajra jewel is broken, its golden ornaments are incomparably superior, able to subdue all, and the name of the vajra jewel is not abandoned, and it can ward off all." Similarly, due to the power of past aspirations, whether high or low, noble or humble, merely seeing his face or hearing his voice could involuntarily move the minds of the disciples to be trained. Therefore, in the activities of benefiting beings and teaching others, no one could compete with him. As it is said, "Just as a magnet sees iron, it quickly revolves in all directions, yet it has no mind, but appears as if it has a mind." Similar to this analogy, all seeing, hearing, remembering, and touching could be transformed into virtuous (lower volume, 485) activities through faith, and perfect enjoyment would arise effortlessly and spontaneously. Such wondrous activities sustained the benefit of beings and the training of disciples for a long time. Then, he showed the sign of the exhaustion of disciples to be trained in this field, and at the age of seventy-four, in the Wood Ox year, accompanied by many wondrous omens, he passed away at the great Ru-ngam Monastery, merging into the Dharmadhatu. After the cremation, many relics increased. The offerings made for his passing were gold.
