In between, he stayed as a boundary. At that time, an invitation arrived from Derge (Derge County, Garze Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan). Later, the Derge Sakya administrator, Kunga Trinley Gyatso, went to meet him in Lampe (transliteration) because he was going to U. In accordance with the unwavering faith of the successive Derge incarnations, he said, "Although you have not been able to go to Derge this year, you must go there later no matter what." He was invited so earnestly that he promised to go the following year. That year, new regulations were formulated at the retreat center, and in accordance with the sacred Vinaya, very strict laws were promulgated, including the prohibition of alcohol. He went to the mantra hall of Ka'og (transliteration), bestowed refuge vows on the young mantra practitioners, and performed the empowerment of the continuous installation of the glorious secret Vajrakilaya (藏文:རྡོ་རྗེ་གྲོ་ལོད་,梵文天城體:वज्रकीलाय,梵文羅馬擬音:vajrakīlāya,漢語字面意思:金剛橛) meteoric iron burning. After that, he gradually moved his residence to the Do-med (transliteration) area. When he went to Dangkog (transliteration), he met Khenchen Palden Chokyong (transliteration), who had come from U. In order to visit Derge, he went to Dongda (transliteration) and offered services and offerings at the magnificent palace. At that time, it was when the Dzogchenpa (transliteration) father and son were going to U, so Regent Pon Pema Kundrol Namgyal (transliteration) invited them to Ru-ngam Monastery (transliteration) and retreat places. Gradually, he placed his lotus feet in Takmogang (transliteration) Kalsang Phuntsok Ling (transliteration). He bestowed empowerments, transmissions, and teachings to the assembled devotees. As Dzogtrul Rinpoche (transliteration) returned from U, he listened to countless teachings, mainly the Great Secret Nyingma Gyudbum. At that time, between the sleeping quarters (lower part, p. 592) tents, there were many wonderful sights such as rainbows of five colors connecting the dots. He also offered profound pure visions and so on. From Takbu Drakmar Monastery (transliteration), he invited the statue of Khyabdal Drulpa (transliteration) Vajra Hero, and listened to many teachings such as the Eight Herukas, the Gathering of the Guru's Intentions, and also offered the Nyidak Terma cycle and ornaments. Khyabdal Drulku (transliteration) regarded Gyachen Wangyi Nyinje (transliteration) as Avalokiteśvara Lokeśvara. In the Wood Male Mouse year, he stayed in the Gyarong (Aba Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan) area, and exchanged empowerments and teachings with Dzogchen Pon Rinpoche (transliteration). He also received some teachings from Khenchen Palden Chokyong and Situ Rinpoche. The Derge Sakya administrator Lama invited him and listened to many empowerments and teachings.

He offered great offerings. Then he traveled again to Sring Dzong. In the Serpent Year, he bestowed many empowerments and Dharma teachings to the assembled monastic community. At that time, during the Kagye empowerment, many ritual implements remained in the sky for a long time. During the Vajravarahi empowerment, the sound of "Ah Harini Sa" (藏文:ཨ་ཧ་རི་ནི་ས,梵文天城体:अ हरिनि स,梵文罗马拟音:a harini sa,汉语字面意思:阿 哈日尼 萨) like a dragon resounded from the center of the mandala. Again in that year, he traveled to U-Tsang (central Tibet). At that time, he relied on the omniscient Kelsang Gyatso, who possessed vast knowledge and limitless qualities, and received the complete stage teachings, and was given the name Kunsang Tekchok Gyatso. From then on, even though he had not heard the lineage of Vinaya explanations, he mastered all the subtle and gross practices through training. He never transgressed the boundaries of the essential restrictions (Smed Cha, 593) in any matter, small or large, and throughout his life, he remained in one seat. Whether it was mouthwash, changing shoes, or giving and receiving, he never engaged in lax practices or considered them sufficient, regardless of where he was. In short, he was free from all defilements belonging to the five classes of downfalls, and he diligently and tirelessly practiced the antidotes belonging to the two hundred and fifty Pratimoksha vows to the best of his ability, becoming an example of pure discipline. After that, he also heard many Dharma teachings from Do Min and others, and in particular, he received the Lama Gongdu empowerment, transmission, and guidance from the great accomplished Thukchok Dorje of Drak Yang Dzong. Gradually, he ascended to the throne of the monastery. From the Fire Tiger Year onwards, he himself entered into strict retreat for many years. During the retreat, even for those who came seeking help, or even for searching for scriptures, and for all the necessary items for Dharma and practice, he only gave assistance during the time for the midday meal and tea preparation. Other than that, he did not engage in many busy activities inside or outside the retreat, nor did he ever speak pleasant but meaningless chatter like some people. During the retreat, he mostly took only the essence of Ra-shag and other substances. He practiced Tögal in accordance with the sunlight in the four sessions of the day, morning and evening, increasing the experience of clear light. He also practiced the union of channels and winds without interruption in the evenings and at dawn, and sometimes he also practiced Trulkhor (magical wheel exercises). In addition, he recited countless mantras of many additional deities (Smed Cha, 594).
