It was like a pure land with flowers and so on. Then, the Great Orgyen in the morning transformed into a beautiful and pleasing eight-year-old boy, adorned with various jewels, and taught the Dharma. In the afternoon, he transformed into a rakshasa spewing venom, pacified the five poisons, and taught the Dharma. In the evening, he transformed into an old man of one hundred and twenty years, aged and hunched over, resembling an ascetic, and taught the Dharma. At dusk and dawn, he taught the Dharma in various ways of taming, and those rakshasas were also used in the Dharma without any distraction, and so on. After that, he stayed there for sixty-six years. Then, he said that he had moved here according to the prophecy of the Great Orgyen. That is, his father was Shudbu Namkhai Zangpo, and his mother was Princess Rinchen Gyen, and he was their son. At the age of three, he received the empowerment of Vajrakilaya and saw the dakinis of the lineage dancing. At the age of five, he received the empowerment of Dzogchen, and the actual appearance of meeting the kind lamas of past habits (Vol. II, p. 159) and requesting the Dharma arose. When he heard the sound of a male bird singing and hail falling, and the sound of a conch shell, he thought that it must be the sound of the musical instruments of the dakinis of Orgyen taming the rakshasas. He also said that many manifested deities spoke. He received the upasaka vow from his uncle Khenchen Gyalsaypa, and also heard much Dharma from Khenchen Rizang Tokpa. After his uncle Khenchen Gyalsaypa passed away, he became the abbot. He continuously did things such as placing the heart essence of the worldly king Mukali in a seal, and by removing obstacles, his practice became very diligent. The deity of the yidam said from his mouth, "This torma (balim, offering) recitation and so on is beneficial to all sentient beings, therefore your descendants will receive inconceivable merit." Therefore, he also became enthusiastic about giving tormas. It is said that this Rinpoche had many pure appearances from a young age, and especially in the Rinpoche's own words, "In the year of thirteen, I practiced diligently day and night without any laziness. At night, I circumambulated the stupa of Drowa Monastery, and people said that someone was circumambulating the stupa. At that time, it was said that he came from Gyalsay Thogme."
