There was a dead body of a barren female dog infested with worms (Vol. 1, p. 423). Lama Zurchen only touched it slightly. Zurchungpa killed the barren female dog. He ate the worms. Others said, "Such a madman named Zurchungpa has been appointed to teach the Dharma. The patrons are losing faith in us." The Lama said, "I also know that dogs go to the lower realms, but I could not liberate them. It is amazing that he liberated them." Then, Zurchungpa made a gesture, and the dog corpses turned into offering goddesses. He vomited the worms, and the worms buzzed in the sky. Then Zurchenpa said, "Are you all amazed now?" They said, "It's like a magic trick." Then, Zurchenpa's snot ran out, and he magically threw the snot in a skull cup to a distant cliff. "Whoever drinks this will get my monastic college," he said. The other three chief disciples could not take it. Zurchungpa went and took it without touching the water with his feet. They were again urged to compete in the power of wind. The other teachers and practitioners, including the four top ones, were also able to walk without touching the ground. However, Zurchungpa rose into the sky about a tala high and broke into the Serampa hermitage first, and the other three chief disciples also gained certainty. They obeyed the Lama's teachings and eventually completed the service. After a while, Zurchungpa received three prophecies about the place, but he was not particularly attached to this yogi who realized emptiness, so he was classified as an illusion. Finally, a sixteen-year-old girl (Vol. 1, p. 424) adorned with bone ornaments, holding a damaru and performing five dances, said, "If you meditate on the Nine-Gathered Mountain, you will achieve two goals." She pointed to the huge rock. The Nine-Gathered Mountain, the Nine-Gathered Springs, and the Nine-Gathered Meadows were recognized as signs of the completion of the nine successive vehicles. That huge rock is like the glorious Chakrasamvara surrounded by the eight Gaurimas, so if you practice here, the path to accomplishment will be near and the blessings will be great. In general, the nature of samsara is suffering, so worldly attachments must be severed. Noisy gatherings and fame are not helpful for achieving the goals of the next life. Saving face is difficult to do in the short term and has no meaning in the long run.

Therefore, he said, "I will meditate alone," and entrusted the monks to the three great masters. He said, "You must uphold the doctrine of teaching and learning," and then he went to Brak Gyabo. Having arrived there, he remained only in practice, so the manifestations and miracles of the local deities became very great. Thus, great accomplished ones consider the illusory state of dreams and appearances to be of one taste, so one night in a dream, a black man appeared on the summit of Brak Gyabo, gathered him from his two feet, circled him around his head, and threw him away, dreaming that he was smashed onto a great plain in the valley of Thag. When he awoke, he found himself actually in the middle of the plain, and had to climb up, but he remained there without fearing the great miracles. Furthermore, because even sins as small as hairs filled the practice room, his understanding of cause and effect became clear. He grabbed the two horns of sin, split them in half, and confessed each sin and non-virtue individually (Upper Volume, p. 425). He said, "Do not rely on meaning, but rely on words," and jokingly discarded them, and as a result, everything became Vairochana, rising into the sky. Again, once an army of ants was summoned. He said, "Bring the cymbal," and he struck the cymbal. The attendant, ashamed, struck the cymbal, saying, "Please consider the sins." He said, "If you do not believe that, then do this," and then he put the ants in his mouth and blew on them. As a result, everything became Vajrasattva, standing upright and going into the sky, and the attendant was very convinced. Because the miracles of killing and reviving were inconceivable, he subdued the three local deity siblings, who actually manifested their forms and placed their feet on his head. There is still blessed water from when a stake was driven into the rock. There, he practiced the mudra meditation arising from secret illusion, and saw the face of Vajrasattva. The valley of Thag was filled with Vajrasattva. Because he attained the birthplace of the exhaustion of appearances, his body could turn into fire, water, wind, and sandstorms, and everything that appeared clearly shone as the nature of Vajrasattva, so the power of goodness increased. He thought, "There is no perfect entrustment." There, appearance, mind, and dharmata merged into one taste, and he reached the state of exhaustion of thought, and there was no obstruction to all the land, stones, mountains, and rocks, and he went into the sky like a bird, etc.
