He received the signs of blessings for taking refuge. He received the novice vows from Lama Sonam Gyaltsen, and the full ordination vows from Khenpo Zumphuwa and Acharya Shakya Dtonpa, who were among the twenty-five preceptors. He listened to and studied the precepts and practices of the Vinaya from the Acharya. From Lama Shakya Sherab and about thirteen other spiritual guides, he listened to many teachings of the Sakya, Nyingma, Kagyu, Shangpa, and Shije traditions, and condensed the essence into practice. In many secluded places such as Tsari, he diligently practiced accumulation and purification, and great austerities (Vol. 1, p. 365), so good realizations arose. However, because he had little distraction, in order to practice single-pointedly, he went to Lho Mon with some friends who had abandoned obstacles. For a while, they relied on seclusion together, but the friends became scattered in the distractions of seeking wealth and wandering through villages. He alone remained steadfast in his vow to practice on the rock of Gyale Khar. All the locals believed and said, "This Guru is good!" Therefore, from then on, he was known as Rinpoche Guru. At that time, he heard that Dharma Lord Omniscient Chenpo had arrived in Bumthang, and longing to meet him, he prepared to go. The people of western Mon invited him, and they met in Salong. With unwavering reverence, he prostrated, and on the tenth day of the festival, he made offerings with a feast, and offered gifts. At the same time, thousands of people in that area also offered their possessions, establishing meaningful connections. As an attendant, he went to Minlog Kunsang Ling and listened to the teachings of the Nyingthig. The Dharma Lord himself appointed him to the hermitage of Orgyen Ling, where he resided for a while. Later, he again went to Bumthang to serve. From then until Omniscient Chenpo passed away, he diligently served his body, offered food, managed affairs, and so on, in every way, so he received profound and vast teachings. In particular, he fully listened to the instructions and oral transmissions of the Secret Nyingthig five times. Later, in order to fulfill the intention of Omniscient Chenpo's passing, he made offerings (Vol. 1, p. 366). And, it was he who also proclaimed the remaining teachings, so the activity of the holy Dharma was limitless. All the disciples, such as Gyalsé Tulku, also prostrated. In order to seek liberation,

Merely by verbal instruction, he abandoned all distractions and remained solely in retreat at the great sacred site of Chimpu (mchims phu). He completely entrusted all the guru's precepts, including the Secret Essence (gsang ba snying thig), to Trulzhik Chenpo. When Gyalsé (rgyal sras) Tulku from Mon arrived in Ü (dbus), they met at the monastic gathering place. He offered many material goods and teachings, and also listened to various instructions in return. Their minds became one. Again, firm in his vow to practice at Chimpu (mchims phu), he devoted all spontaneously arising resources to offerings at the upper and lower Chökhor monasteries, and to tsok offerings and veneration for the Sangye (bsam yas) monastic community, thus dissolving them into virtuous aims. Representing this, the noble and excellent biography of the holy one, clear as gold, peacefully passed away at that great sacred site. Thus, among the direct disciples of the Omniscient One who spread the teachings in Ü and Tsang, these two who initiated the transmission of instructions to Trulzhik Chenpo are mentioned here as a supplementary matter. Sherab Gyatso (shes rab rgya mtsho), known as Thrungzhik Sangye Wönpo ('khrung zhig sangs rgyas dbon po), was born near Samye Semkyé Ling (bsam yas sems bskyed gling), the son of the lay practitioner Pema Kyab (pad+ma skyabs) and Kunkhyen Piwönmo Kyepa (kun mkhyen pi dbon mo skyed pa). From a young age, he awakened good habits, and even hearing the Torkang (gtor skang) of the monastic community (Upper Section, p. 367), he felt renunciation and longed to enter the Dharma, but being an only child, it was not fulfilled. At the age of seven, due to being bitten by a mad dog, he was ordained by Khenpo Sherinpa (mkhan po shes rin pa) and Lopön Shegyalwa (slob dpon shes rgyal ba) and joined the Samye (bsam yas) monastic community. While practicing Dharma and training his mind, due to the shadow of attending to a leper, his mind became unclear. At Chimpu (mchims phu), he requested Jampal Karpo ('jam dkar) from Lama Kaka Rinpoche (kA kA rin po che), and through recitation, he dreamed that a white man gave him a crystal rosary, and that he picked a white flower the size of a bowl, thus opening his wisdom. At various times, he listened to the vast Dharma teachings of Sutra and Tantra, both old and new, from over fifty virtuous friends, including Chöjé Rangjung Dorje (chos rje rang byung rdo rje), Butön (bu ston), Gyalsépa (rgyal sras pa), Lama Sönam Gyaltsen (bla ma bsod nams rgyal mtshan), Jönang Chögyalwa (jo nang phyogs rgyal ba), and the four Chölung Khenchens, including Khenchen Sönam Drakpa (mkhan chen bsod nams grags pa). Later, at the age of eighteen, with Lama Sönam Gyaltsen (bla ma bsod nams rgyal mtshan),
