It is heard from the words of Nyinjed that in the land of Jang, known as "Lijiang Hu" in Chinese, Dharma was not prevalent in the past. Later, the Dharma Lord Karmapas, those holding the red and dark blue chodpen, went there and established the tradition of the sacred Dharma. Because this land belonged to China, it was not crushed by border wars. Later, Jamgon Situ Pema Nyinje himself went there many times, and successively established Samtam Ogminling and Jangri Smugpo, Kundor Dargye Ling, Lashi, and Trabur Phuntsok Tenphel Ling, many large and small monasteries. In these monasteries, the great tenth-day festival of Lama Sangdu (Guru Yoga), Ratna Lingpa's Dharma cycle, Karma Lingpa's peaceful and wrathful deities, Rigdzin Jatzon Nyingpo, and the Dharma cycles of Yang De Migyur Dorje, Terton Chokgyur Lingpa, and others flourished. In the palace of the king of Samtam, the Mani Bumdrup of the assembly of Avalokiteshvara Yangsang was established every year, and the teachings of both Kagyu and Nyingma have been very prosperous until now. Similarly, in the residence of Lapi Dampa, there are Drikung Kagyu monasteries, but they mainly practice Nyingma Dharma. In addition, they stayed for a long time in the four great snow mountains and eight great caves of Tibet (upper part, p. 252), blessed many practice places, and hid countless profound treasures. In Lhamon Chok Bumthang and Draklo Trang, they left 108 body prints, footprints on the rocks in all four directions, and handprints on the four great lakes, showing countless miraculous displays, and their amazing deeds are inconceivable. Furthermore, when the Khenpo passed away and the teacher went to the practice place, the Chinese Heshang Mahayana appeared and claimed that one could not attain enlightenment through the virtues of body and speech, and that one could attain enlightenment by not thinking about anything, thus leading many Tibetan people astray. Although the Tsenpo found it difficult to restrain them with orders, he remembered the Khenpo's teachings and invited Kamalaśīla from India. In the debate of Tonzen, Tonmun was defeated, and the Heshang was sent back to China, and it was ordered that his teachings should not be practiced. After that, the king also, in the Iron Dragon year, passed away due to a sudden illness in the sight of all the Tibetan people, and merged into the heart of Jetsun Jampel Dorje.

Homage. Regarding the year of the king's death, some Tang Dynasty historical materials say it was fifty-nine years, and some say it was sixty-nine years, but in reality there is no contradiction. The king's life was only fifty-six years, but through rituals he extended his life by three years, and secretly extended his life by ten years by concealing his age, for a total extension of thirteen years. This was revealed in the Tiger year, as stated in the footsteps of the great scholar Jamyang Gon Saré (Vol. 1, 253). This Dharma king had several queens, of whom Tsepongza gave birth to three sons. The eldest, Mune Tsenpo, was enthroned as king. Although the people's famine and wealth were equally distributed three times, the people's lives did not improve, but remained the same as before. The translators said that this was due to the fruits of previous generosity. Therefore, he became more interested in virtuous deeds and established offerings to the three pitakas in Samye and other places. The offerings of the Sutra Division still exist today. After ruling for one year and seven months, by his father's order, he married his father's queen, Ru Yakmo, as his wife. The queen, out of jealousy, poisoned and killed him. The second son, Murub Tsenpo, had previously killed Shang's son, Uring, and was exiled for a time. Later, he was summoned back from Mon and was about to be enthroned. However, Shang Nangnam, a descendant of a minister, intervened and killed him. The youngest son, Mutik Tsenpo Sadnaleg Jingyon, ascended the throne at the age of four. The master bestowed Dharma upon him. He made offerings to the temples built by his ancestors and gave generous treatment to the translators who remained in the temples. He also translated some scriptures that had not been translated before. At this time, regarding the year of Trisong Detsen's death, one account says that the master went to the land of the Rakshasas, and another says that the master secretly ruled for three years and then passed away. These two accounts are not actually contradictory, but rather different perspectives of different people (Vol. 1, 254). After Trisong Detsen passed away, the master and the prince Mu Tsenpo went to Chab Bulung. To protect the prince's life, the Namgyal Stupa was built. The master's portrait painted on paper birch still exists today. After that, the master intended to go to subdue the Rakshasas.
