As stated in names like "Light of the World," and "Goddess White Robe," and "Great White Tara, diligent in benefiting others," in order to invite the two Shakya statues, in accordance with worldly customs, he married the Nepalese princess Bhrikuti, an emanation with a wrathful countenance, and the Chinese princess Wencheng, inseparable from Tara. As dowry for the marriage, he invited the two Shakya statues, which were identical to the actual Buddha (Vol. 2, p. 220). Thonmi Sambhota was sent to India, and he initiated the practice of writing and reading, which had not existed in Tibet before. He composed treatises such as the Sumchupa and the Takjuk. The landscape of Tibet, which resembled a supine demoness, was transformed, and because of the exquisite craftsmanship, which seemed like a divine transformation, the Jokhang Temple of Lhasa became famous. Temples for subduing the borders and suppressing demons were built, and the earth enemies were suppressed. The ten virtuous laws were established. According to the Kathok History, during the reign of this Dharma king, scholars such as Kusaara from India, the Brahmin Kara, the Nepalese scholar Shila Manju, and the Chinese monk Hashang Mahayana were invited, and the Tripitaka and many parts of the Tantras were translated, establishing the tradition of the Dharma. Although there was no actual teaching and learning, the king himself secretly bestowed the teachings of the Great Compassionate Peaceful and Wrathful deities to many fortunate individuals. It is said that at that time, hundreds of yogis with matted hair, practicing the yoga of Great Compassion, appeared in Nyang Bran Phawangka. Starting with Songtsen Gampo's son, Gungri Gungtsen, and continuing with Mangsong Mangtsen, Dudsong Mangpoje or Lungnam Trulgyi Gyalpo, and Tride Tsukten Me Agtsom. During his reign, although the Indian panditas Sangye Sangwa and Sangye Shiwa were not invited from Mount Kailash, messengers memorized and brought back the five sutras of the Mahayana. The Suvarnaprabhasa Sutra and the Vinaya-Vibhanga from the Vinaya Pitaka (Vol. 2, p. 221), and some medical texts were translated from the land of Kimshi in China. Many monks were invited from Li (Khotan) and offerings were made. This king's son was Trisong Detsen. During the reigns of these kings, seven wise ministers, known as the wise ministers of Tibet, appeared at different times. During the time of the ninth king, Pude Gungyal...

The first wise and intelligent minister was Ru Leje. Before that, Tibet did not know how to cultivate. This minister made fire with coal, melted stones with it, and extracted gold, silver, copper, and iron. He smelted iron, drilled holes in wood, and made plows and yokes. He led water for irrigation and plowed fields in the meadows. He also built bridges over large rivers. The earliest crops originated from this time. During the time of Esho Lek, the second wise and intelligent minister, Magokar, appeared. Without irrigating, he calculated the area of fields and distinguished between the rich and the poor. During the time of Takri Nyenzig, the third wise and intelligent minister, Tro Nor Nangtsun, appeared. Before this, people did not know the Han Chinese measures of dou, sheng, and balance, nor did they know trade. This minister made measures and balances. He measured various grains, established weight standards, and initiated the practice of trade. During the time of Songtsen Gampo, the fourth wise and intelligent minister, Thonmi Sambhota, appeared. Before that, Tibet had no writing and did not understand the hearing and teaching of Dharma. This Dharma minister created the thirty letters of the Tibetan alphabet and grammatical treatises, and initiated the translation of scriptures. At the same time, the fifth wise and intelligent minister, Tri Sang Yangton, moved houses from the mountains to the valleys and built villages. He also built fortresses in strategic locations. Furthermore, during the reign of this Dharma king, a hundred wise ministers emerged, who controlled the wealth and decrees of the kings of the four directions.
